This guide assists researchers in assembling a comprehensive, reproducible data and code supplement for submissions to statistical journals, adhering to the American Statistical Association (ASA) data-sharing policies. It outlines the required structure (README, code, data), provenance tracking, environment pinning, and necessary steps (like setting random seeds and drafting data availability statements) to ensure that published results can be fully regenerated and verified by reviewers.

A comprehensive guide designed for authors submitting to the Journal of Business & Economic Statistics (JBES). It details the unique multi-Co-Editor model, how referees scrutinize submissions (focusing on statistical validity, empirical relevance, and reproducibility), and the conventions of the discussion-paper tradition. This resource helps authors set expectations and anticipate critiques before drafting the formal response letter.

A comprehensive preflight checklist designed for submitting manuscripts to the Journal of Business & Economic Statistics (JBES). This guide ensures authors have verified all necessary components—including the data/code supplement, conflict disclosures, and cover letter targeting—against the latest academic standards. It functions as a critical final review step before formal submission, emphasizing the need to cross-reference live journal guidelines.

A comprehensive guide detailing best practices for creating clear, rigorous, and publication-ready tables and figures for advanced statistical or econometric manuscripts. It ensures that complex results (such as size-power curves, bias/RMSE comparisons, and empirical payoffs) are legible to both expert statisticians and applied economists, improving presentation without altering the underlying results.

This tool guides users through the rigorous scope requirements for submitting research to the Journal of Business & Economic Statistics (JBES). It ensures that a project possesses both methodological novelty and clear empirical relevance, particularly in microeconomics, macroeconomics, business, and finance. It serves as a critical sanity check, preventing submissions that are purely theoretical or purely applied without methodological contribution.

This router guides authors through the entire lifecycle of a manuscript submitted to the Journal of Business & Economic Statistics (JBES). It does not perform analysis, but rather diagnoses the current bottleneck—whether in topic selection, data analysis, or rebuttal—and directs the user to the appropriate specialized skill within the JBES workflow, ensuring the work maintains both methodological novelty and empirical relevance.

This comprehensive guide provides a structured framework for building and auditing empirical data and estimation pipelines in finance and banking research. It covers data construction from various sources (e.g., CRSP, Call Reports), advanced econometric techniques like fixed effects and winsorization, conducting stress tests (e.g., crisis periods, large banks), and ensuring full reproducibility. It emphasizes reporting results with meaningful economic magnitudes.

A comprehensive guide for stress-testing and defending empirical identification strategies in finance and economics manuscripts. It covers advanced econometric techniques such as Staggered DiD, Instrumental Variables (IV), Regression Discontinuity Design (RDD), and Event Studies, providing actionable advice on fixed effects, clustering, necessary robustness checks, and anticipating referee challenges.

This comprehensive guide outlines the best practices for preparing a complete and reproducible research package for submission to the Journal of Banking & Finance (JBF) following Elsevier Option C guidelines. It details requirements for data availability statements, proper structuring of code and data access materials, and best methods for managing proprietary or restricted datasets (such as CRSP or Compustat), ensuring research transparency and verifiability.

This guide provides comprehensive guidelines for preparing high-quality, publication-ready tables and figures specifically tailored for Journal of Banking & Finance (JBF) submissions. It covers everything from structuring descriptive statistics and regression results to designing event-study plots and ensuring proper notes and execution workflows.

A comprehensive guide for analyzing and reporting findings in entrepreneurial research, specifically tailored for high-level academic journals. It covers advanced econometric techniques necessary to address common data challenges in venture panel data, such as survivorship bias, selection into founding, endogeneity, and attrition. It ensures methodological rigor and robust reporting.

A comprehensive guide for structuring and polishing empirical tables and figures for top-tier academic journals, such as the Journal of Business Venturing (JBV). It covers the standards for presenting descriptives, main model coefficients, interaction plots, survival curves, process models, and qualitative data structures. This skill ensures exhibits are self-contained, interpretable, and adhere to rigorous academic house styles.
