A comprehensive technical guide detailing essential patterns and techniques for analyzing compiled binaries. It covers foundational assembly concepts across x86-64, ARM architectures, and provides structured examples for function prologues, calling conventions, control flow (loops, branches), data structure access, and common arithmetic/string operations. Essential for reverse engineering and low-level systems programming.

This skill provides a comprehensive, expert guide to the entire reverse engineering lifecycle. It covers advanced techniques for binary analysis, including static analysis (disassembly, metadata extraction, control flow mapping) and dynamic analysis (API hooking, memory tracing). Mastery includes utilizing industry-leading tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, radare2, and specialized frameworks like pwntools and angr. The methodology is structured for secure research, CTF challenges, and vulnerability assessment, emphasizing best practices and ethical use.

This guide details how to perform pre-execution static analysis of Windows PE malware samples using tools like PEStudio, Python's pefile, and FLOSS. It focuses on examining file headers, section entropy, import address tables (IAT), and embedded strings to identify malicious functionalities, packing techniques, and indicators of compromise (IOCs) without running the binary. Ideal for initial triage of suspicious executables.

This curriculum covers foundational exploitation techniques essential for binary security analysis. Users will learn to control program execution flow, including overwriting EIP/RIP, constructing ROP chains, implementing ret2libc, and shellcode injection. It provides practical, hands-on exercises on stack overflows and heap manipulation in a controlled Linux environment, establishing the core primitives needed before tackling modern mitigation bypasses.

This playbook provides advanced techniques for symbolic execution using angr, Z3, and Unicorn Engine. It covers automating CTF challenges, handling constraint solving patterns, function hooking, memory manipulation, and emulating custom virtual machines for binary analysis and key recovery.

This skill generates an enterprise-grade threat model report for MCP surfaces. It categorizes security threats and outputs severity levels like clean, low, medium, or high. Suitable for pre-launch security reviews and periodic audits. It integrates with the harness binary and supports JSON or table formats.

This skill facilitates cross-version symbol migration and binary diffing. When existing symbols or reverse engineering results from an old version need to be quickly mapped to a new binary version, this tool is used. It leverages LLMs to perform structured structural comparisons between corresponding functions in different versions, enabling the programmatic transfer of function names and offsets even when original PDB files are lost. Ideal for kernel debugging, application updates, and binary analysis.

This specialized skill guides deep-dive analysis for binary-heavy challenges, including CTF, malware analysis, and advanced forensics. It covers reverse engineering binaries, unpacking samples, inspecting memory dumps, debugging crashes, and building exploit chains by correlating artifacts like files, memory, and network packets.

A comprehensive, structured guide for reverse engineering and analyzing managed .NET/C# binaries. This skill covers the full workflow, including initial identification (CLR check), deobfuscation (using tools like de4dot), static analysis via IL view (dnSpyEx), and dynamic debugging. It is essential for analyzing malware, red team tools, and patching compiled C# applications.

A comprehensive firmware and IoT penetration testing skill following OWASP FSTM. Covers firmware acquisition, static analysis, file system extraction with binwalk/unblob, automated EMBA scanning, system emulation via Firmadyne/QEMU, dynamic debugging, and binary exploitation for ARM/MIPS devices. Ideal for auditing routers, cameras, smart home devices, reproducing IoT CVEs, and discovering embedded 0-days.

Analyze binaries with radare2/r2 from the command line, including reverse engineering, disassembly, function analysis, imports/strings inspection, patching, binary diffing, hex inspection, and r2 scripting. Supports PE/ELF/Mach-O/DEX/WASM files and sub-tools like rabin2, rasm2, radiff2, and r2pipe.

This skill provides comprehensive patterns and techniques for analyzing compiled binaries and understanding assembly code. It covers x86-64, ARM, and calling conventions, helping users reconstruct program logic. Use it for reverse engineering tasks, security analysis, and debugging low-level code.
