Skill UI

This skill provides optimal best practices and patterns for building ViewModels, Wizards, and managing complex navigation flows in Avalonia applications. It leverages the power of ReactiveUI for functional state management and Zafiro for structured command handling, ensuring the creation of robust, maintainable, and scalable MVVM architectures.

A comprehensive toolkit providing source generators and base classes for implementing the Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) pattern in .NET applications. It simplifies the creation of observable properties, commands, and validation logic, significantly reducing boilerplate code. Supports major cross-platform UI frameworks including WPF, WinUI 3, MAUI, and Avalonia.

This skill guides developers on integrating CommunityToolkit.Mvvm ViewModels with Microsoft's Dependency Injection system. It covers setting up the composition root using the .NET Generic Host, managing service lifetimes (Singleton, Transient, Scoped), implementing constructor injection, and correctly registering messaging services (IMessenger) for robust, cross-platform XAML applications (WPF, MAUI, Uno, Avalonia).

The CommunityToolkit.Mvvm Messenger provides a robust Publish/Subscribe messaging system for ViewModels and other objects. It allows multiple components to communicate asynchronously without holding direct references, effectively eliminating tight coupling. Supports various messaging patterns, including simple value broadcasts, request/reply (sync/async), and collection requests, making it ideal for complex applications using WPF, WinUI 3, .NET MAUI, or Avalonia.
