This guide details advanced techniques for authorized security assessments, focusing on forced browsing. It helps testers discover hidden administrative pages, unprotected APIs, and configuration files by systematically enumerating URLs and challenging application access control mechanisms. Techniques involve using tools like ffuf and Gobuster for comprehensive path and directory discovery.

This guide provides a comprehensive methodology for identifying and exploiting Insecure Direct Object Reference (IDOR) vulnerabilities in web applications and APIs. It teaches testers how to systematically manipulate object identifiers (such as numerical IDs, UUIDs, or slugs) within API requests and URLs. Techniques involve using advanced tools like Burp Suite's Authorize extension to test object-level access control, validating both horizontal (same privilege) and vertical (different privilege) access restrictions during authorized penetration tests or bug bounty engagements.

This skill guides the detection and exploitation of JavaScript prototype pollution vulnerabilities. It covers both client-side (DOM XSS) and server-side (RCE, Auth Bypass) attacks by injecting properties into Object.prototype using keys like `__proto__`. Use this when assessing APIs that deep-merge or clone user-controlled JSON data, or for general web application security testing.

A comprehensive guide for implementing centralized security controls on API gateways (e.g., Kong, AWS API Gateway, Azure APIM). It covers critical defense layers including JWT-based authentication enforcement, advanced rate limiting and throttling, request validation against schemas, TLS termination, and Web Application Firewall (WAF) integration. Use this when establishing a robust, layer-7 security posture for microservice APIs.

This skill uses the Thinkst Canary REST API to programmatically deploy and monitor various tripwire mechanisms, including web bugs, DNS tokens, MS Word documents, and AWS API keys. It is designed for early breach detection by simulating attacker activity and generating comprehensive deception coverage reports and alert histories.

This guide details how to integrate OWASP ZAP (Zed Attack Proxy) into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/GitLab) for comprehensive Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST). It covers configuring baseline, full, and API scans to identify common vulnerabilities like XSS, SQLi, and CSRF in running web applications and REST/GraphQL APIs, ensuring security quality gates in the development lifecycle.

This skill implements a comprehensive brand monitoring system to detect brand impersonation attacks across multiple digital attack surfaces, including domain squatting, social media profiles, phishing sites, mobile apps, and the dark web. It uses tools like dnstwist and integrates APIs (Google Safe Browsing, VirusTotal) to proactively identify unauthorized brand usage and potential cyber threats targeting an organization.

This tool performs comprehensive security testing on SOAP web services. It analyzes WSDL definitions to identify available methods and then tests for critical XML-related vulnerabilities, including XXE, XPath injection, XML bombs, and WS-Security bypass. It is designed for automated penetration testing of enterprise-level SOAP APIs.

This skill provides a comprehensive guide and methodology for identifying and exploiting Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) misconfigurations in web applications. It covers testing origin validation bypasses, analyzing preflight requests, and simulating data exfiltration during authorized penetration tests, crucial for assessing API security.

This guide details methodologies for identifying and exploiting XML External Entity (XXE) injection vulnerabilities in web applications. It covers basic file retrieval, blind XXE detection using out-of-band techniques, and data exfiltration, all critical steps during authorized penetration testing of XML-consuming APIs and services.

A comprehensive guide and code suite for performing penetration testing on real-time WebSocket APIs (WS/WSS). This tool assesses vulnerabilities including Cross-Site WebSocket Hijacking (CSWSH), missing handshake authentication, message injection, input validation failures, and DoS risks. It guides users through analyzing the handshake process and testing authorization enforcement using Python and specialized tools.

GoldRush API by Covalent lets agents query wallet balances, token prices, transaction history, DEX pairs, and live OHLCV across 100+ chains via REST, CLI, SDK, or WebSocket, avoiding chain-specific plumbing.
