GPTQ enables post-training 4-bit quantization for large LLMs, delivering up to 4× memory reduction and 3-4× faster inference with under 2% perplexity loss on consumer GPUs through AutoGPTQ, PEFT, and Transformer integrations.

This workflow executes a single-query search using the Perplexity Sonar model, ensuring all returned answers are web-grounded and accompanied by inline citations. It is essential for building high-trust applications, fact-checking tools, or any system requiring verifiable, real-time information retrieval. The process includes API interaction, detailed response parsing (answer, citations, search results), and formatting the output into a usable, source-linked format.

A comprehensive toolkit designed to manage the complex data flow associated with Perplexity search workflows. This skill implements critical security measures, including PII sanitization in user queries, validates external citations for accuracy, optimizes performance via result caching with freshness policies, and manages conversation context to maintain coherence and reliability. Essential for building robust, compliance-aware AI applications.

This guide provides comprehensive instructions for deploying applications powered by the Perplexity Sonar API. It covers setup for major cloud platforms like Vercel, Google Cloud Run, and Docker. Users can deploy production-ready endpoints, manage required secrets, implement edge functions, and utilize caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis) to ensure high availability and performance in production environments.

This guide implements comprehensive guardrails for Perplexity Sonar API. It covers crucial aspects like query content moderation, PII sanitization, enforcing user usage quotas, selecting appropriate models based on user tiers, and scoring citation reliability to ensure safe, ethical, and cost-effective AI usage.

This guide outlines the comprehensive reference architecture for building advanced, AI-powered search and research applications, modeled after Perplexity. It covers three core tiers: a searchable service with model routing and caching, a citation pipeline for validation and rendering, and an orchestrator for multi-query research synthesis. Use this when designing complex, production-grade, search-augmented LLM integrations or reviewing advanced system patterns.

This skill provides production-ready patterns for integrating with the Perplexity Sonar API in both TypeScript and Python. It covers best practices for creating robust wrappers around the standard OpenAI client, including dedicated handling for citations, search results, and related questions. It also includes essential utilities like implementing exponential backoff for reliable retries. Use this when setting up complex search-augmented generation workflows or standardizing team coding practices around Perplexity usage.
