A comprehensive guide detailing the ICASSP peer review pipeline, covering single-blind review mechanics, technical committee evaluation criteria, and the strategic importance of evidence, significance, and reproducibility in signal processing papers. Use this to craft submission strategies and decode decision letters.

This guide provides comprehensive strategic advice for authors targeting the IEEE Visualization Conference (IEEE VIS). It covers conference positioning, scope fitting, required evidence (visual encoding, evaluation), and helps authors re-frame their work from journal or arXiv formats into a selective, high-impact conference narrative. Use it when determining if a research manuscript is appropriate for IEEE VIS.

This guide provides comprehensive standards for defending rigorous data analysis in academic submissions, particularly for the Journal of Management Studies (JMS). It details specific requirements for both quantitative work (e.g., robustness checks, SEM, endogeneity) and qualitative work (e.g., coding transparency, abductive logic, trustworthiness), ensuring the analysis credibly supports the theoretical claims.

A comprehensive guide detailing the mandatory replication package requirements for submitting empirical papers to the Journal of Urban Economics (JUE). It covers not only standard data and code deposits but also specialized techniques for handling complex geospatial data, geocoding pipelines, and proprietary/confidential restricted data paths to ensure maximum reproducibility.

A comprehensive guide for qualitative theory-building, covering multi-case comparison, grounded theory, and advanced methodological rigor. Learn how to structure your study by defining case selection logic, conducting multi-level coding (open, axial, selective), ensuring theoretical saturation, and establishing trustworthiness through triangulation, member checking, and audit trails. Ideal for papers built inductively from interviews or archives.

This skill details the rigorous methodology for defining study eligibility criteria and coding data for comprehensive meta-analyses. It emphasizes pre-specifying inclusion/exclusion rules in a protocol, developing a detailed codebook, performing double-coding, and calculating inter-rater reliability (e.g., Kappa, ICC) to ensure the reproducibility and trustworthiness of synthesis findings.

A detailed guide for authors handling major revisions (R&R) for quantitative economics papers. It structures the entire process, from decoding the coeditor's priorities and classifying referee demands (fundamental, clarification, disagreement), to executing necessary new analyses and drafting a professional, evidence-based response letter that maintains reproducibility and rigor.

This guide details how to assemble a submission-ready replication package for top academic journals, such as The Review of Economic Studies (REStud). It covers the necessary repository structure, mandatory README sections, and coding best practices (e.g., master scripts, relative paths, version pinning) to ensure that the data and code can be fully reproduced and verified by journal editors before publication.

A comprehensive guide detailing how to make systematic reviews and meta-analyses fully auditable and reproducible for academic publishing. It emphasizes adhering to standards like PRISMA and MARS, quantifying inter-coder reliability (e.g., Kappa/ICC), and sharing all open materials, including search strings, coding datasets, and analysis code (via OSF/DOI).

This guide outlines the rigorous standards and methodologies for qualitative social science research (e.g., ethnography, in-depth interviews, case studies, grounded theory). It emphasizes moving beyond mere story-telling to concept building, ensuring methodological rigor, coding transparency, and theoretical dialogue to meet high academic standards.

A comprehensive guide for designing and auditing visualization experiments for high-stakes academic submissions (e.g., IEEE VIS). It details how to match evidence—such as controlled studies, power analyses, and benchmarks—to the specific type of claim (perceptual, algorithmic, system). Learn best practices for statistical rigor, CVD-safe encoding, and maintaining full provenance to ensure your findings are scientifically sound and trustworthy.

This skill maps chronic conditions extracted from clinical notes to CMS-HCC V28 categories. It estimates the Risk Adjustment Factor (RAF) score, which is crucial for Medicare Advantage payments. It serves as decision support for coders by identifying candidate HCCs, applying complex coding hierarchies, and checking for MEAT documentation evidence for human validation.
