This guide outlines rigorous standards for conducting heterogeneity analysis in economic research. It stresses that heterogeneity should not merely involve slicing data by region or size, but must be theoretically driven, linking multiple dimensions (e.g., ownership, financing constraints, industry type) to core economic mechanisms. The analysis must demonstrate significant group differences and clearly connect findings to differential policy implications, elevating the discussion from mere observation to actionable policy science.

This guide details the rigorous requirements for achieving research reproducibility in academic publishing. It moves beyond simple data sharing, mandating that authors deposit model-fitting code, analysis scripts, and materials with persistent identifiers (DOI). Key steps include ensuring reported results can regenerate in a fresh session, completing declarations of competing interests, and linking pre-registrations, ensuring compliance with strict journal standards.

This guide details best practices for enhancing the credibility of academic manuscripts submitted to scholarly journals, particularly addressing code and data availability. It teaches authors how to proactively provide stable links, checksums, comprehensive reproducibility scripts, and clear licensing statements. The focus is on bolstering trustworthiness for single-blind review processes, even when the journal does not mandate formal artifact badges.

This guide provides comprehensive standards for conducting and reporting rigorous empirical and simulation evidence in econometrics. It covers designing Monte Carlo simulations, creating minimum evidence maps, ensuring reproducibility through detailed logging, and linking theoretical claims directly to finite-sample evidence. Essential for high-level statistical research.

This guide outlines the rigorous standards required for submitting econometrics papers to top-tier academic journals. It focuses on ensuring the integrity of identification assumptions, linking theoretical claims to empirical data, structuring proofs correctly, and anticipating referee critiques (e.g., object drift, assumption opacity). Essential for advanced academic researchers writing methods papers.

This skill guides users through strengthening the causal identification strategy of empirical economic manuscripts (DiD, IV, RDD, Experiments). It helps audit research designs against general academic credibility standards, ensuring that assumptions, potential biases, and the link between data variation and causal objects are explicitly stated and robustly defended for diverse expert audiences.

A comprehensive guide for conducting and writing rigorous heterogeneity analysis, specifically tailored for top-tier economic research journals. It details how to select theoretical dimensions, perform statistical tests (like Chow tests), structure the narrative, and critically, link heterogeneity back to the core mechanism to strengthen empirical evidence.

Provides authoritative guidance on conducting mechanism analysis for empirical economic manuscripts, reflecting the current paradigm shift in causal inference. It strongly advises against outdated methods like the stepwise mediation analysis (Sobel or Baron-Kenny) and instead mandates a two-step approach: empirically estimating the causal link from treatment to mechanism (D→M), followed by a rigorous theoretical argument for the mechanism's impact on the outcome (M→Y).

A comprehensive guide for authors preparing manuscripts for Global Change Biology (GCB). It details the requirements for scientific exhibits, mandating a mechanism-first approach that clearly links environmental drivers to biological responses. Covers graphical abstract construction, ensuring visible uncertainty, and maximizing data accessibility for publication.

Provides rigorous guidelines for analyzing experimental game data and constructing numerical examples for high-level theoretical journals. Emphasizes that analysis must be tightly linked to theoretical claims, such as matching observed outcomes to predicted equilibria, rather than serving as general causal evidence. Covers session-level clustering, structural fitting, and ensuring computational reproducibility.

This guide provides a comprehensive framework for authors to rigorously defend their research design in manuscripts concerning Global Environmental Change (GEC). It covers methodological pluralism, including quantitative causal inference, qualitative case studies, experiments, and mixed-methods integration. Learn how to strengthen your design, justify causal claims, address confounders, and link local evidence to multi-scale global processes.

This skill guides authors to evaluate if their ecology or biology manuscript meets the rigorous standards of Global Change Biology. It focuses on the necessity of linking research findings to explicit global-change drivers (e.g., warming, elevated CO2) and providing robust biological evidence, from molecular mechanisms to ecosystem-scale consequences.
