Skill UI

This skill provides comprehensive guidelines for conducting and reporting high-stakes quantitative data analysis in the social sciences. It emphasizes methodological rigor, requiring honest reporting of uncertainty, probing robustness (specs that could break the result), and ensuring full reproducibility. It covers advanced topics like design-based inference, cluster corrections, and handling missing data, ensuring results withstand expert review.

A comprehensive guide for applying advanced quantitative methods (OLS, Multilevel, Survival Analysis) to large-scale social surveys (CGSS, CFPS, etc.). This guide emphasizes shifting the focus from purely statistical identification (econometric coefficient races) to deep sociological interpretation, focusing on revealing social mechanisms, structural heterogeneity, and real-world social consequences.

A comprehensive guide for executing and reporting complex social psychological analyses required for expert peer review. This skill covers norms for reporting uncertainty, assessing measurement quality, ensuring robustness checks, selecting appropriate statistical inference (e.g., multilevel models, clustering), and linking statistical findings back to the theoretical structure. It emphasizes methodological rigor and reproducibility.

A comprehensive guide for authors submitting papers to web conferences. It details how to structure empirical claims, ensuring evidence matches the claim's scope (scale, freshness, generalizability). The guide covers avoiding methodological flaws like temporal or popularity leakage, selecting datasets with proper provenance, and performing rigorous ablations and statistical analysis for maximum academic rigor.

This comprehensive guide provides authors with structured frameworks for assessing robustness and trustworthiness in World Development manuscripts. It guides users to organize checks by identifying specific threats (e.g., specification dependence, measurement error) in quantitative work, or demonstrating methodological rigor (e.g., triangulation, negative-case analysis) in qualitative work. It ensures findings are thoroughly vetted against alternative explanations.

This guide helps scholars rigorously defend the methodological design of academic papers, particularly in International Relations and Comparative Politics. It covers advanced techniques such as process tracing, case selection logic, quantitative cross-national panel data analysis (DID, IV, RDD), and experimental design. Its core purpose is to strengthen causal claims by explicitly addressing selection bias, defining scope conditions, and ruling out major rival explanations.

Astropy is the essential Python package for astronomical research and data analysis. It provides a comprehensive suite of tools for handling celestial coordinate transformations (e.g., ICRS, Galactic), managing physical units and quantities, processing FITS files, performing complex cosmological calculations, and ensuring precise time handling. It is indispensable for any project involving scientific data in the field of astronomy and astrophysics.

NetworkX is a powerful Python package designed for creating, manipulating, and analyzing complex networks and graphs. It supports various graph types (Directed, Undirected, MultiGraphs) and provides extensive functionality for graph algorithms, including shortest path calculation, centrality measures (like PageRank), community detection, and connectivity checks. Users can generate synthetic networks, read/write data from multiple formats (GraphML, CSV, Pandas), and visualize results using Matplotlib. Ideal for social network analysis, biological research, and system modeling.

Scanpy is a powerful, scalable Python toolkit built on AnnData for comprehensive single-cell RNA-seq data analysis. It supports the complete biological workflow, including quality control, normalization, dimensionality reduction (PCA, UMAP, t-SNE), clustering, marker gene identification, and sophisticated cell type annotation, enabling the generation of publication-quality figures.

Analyzes mental health data to identify psychological patterns, assess well-being, and provide personalized recommendations. Supports correlation analysis with sleep, exercise, and nutrition data.

This skill generates scientifically accurate plots from NEXRAD Level II/III site scans and decoded radar mosaics. It ensures correct radar geometry, map grids, units, quality masks, timestamps, and data provenance. Suitable for meteorological analysis, it supports plotting reflectivity, radial velocity, dual-polarization moments, and various views like PPI, RHI, and cross-sections. It validates data integrity before visualization to prevent misleading interpretations.
