Skill UI

A comprehensive guide for analyzing multi-study packages for high-level academic journals. This skill focuses on executing internal meta-analyses, reporting standardized effect sizes with confidence intervals (CIs), establishing honest robustness checks, and reconciling confirmatory versus exploratory findings, meeting demanding journal standards.

This guide outlines the rigorous open science and transparency requirements for submissions to the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology (JPSP). It details compliance with APA's TOP Guidelines at Level 2, mandating the proper disclosure of data, analysis code, and materials in a trusted repository. It also covers JARS reporting standards and guides authors on stating the preregistration status, ensuring research reproducibility.

A comprehensive guide for authors on creating APA 7th edition compliant tables and figures for scientific manuscripts, specifically tailored for the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology (JPSP). This resource emphasizes best practices for presenting multi-study data, including self-contained exhibits, cross-study summary tables, and internal meta-analysis forest plots, ensuring the findings are clear and impactful.

This skill guides researchers through the rigorous evaluation of social and personality psychology projects for submission to the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology (JPSP). It assesses whether a project possesses the necessary theoretical contribution, multi-study scope, and generative potential required by JPSP. Crucially, it helps determine the project's fit among the three specialized sections: Attitudes and Social Cognition (ASC), Interpersonal Relations and Group Processes (IRGP), and Personality Processes and Individual Differences (PPID).

A comprehensive guide for executing and reporting complex social psychological analyses required for expert peer review. This skill covers norms for reporting uncertainty, assessing measurement quality, ensuring robustness checks, selecting appropriate statistical inference (e.g., multilevel models, clustering), and linking statistical findings back to the theoretical structure. It emphasizes methodological rigor and reproducibility.

This comprehensive guide helps researchers defend their complex study designs—whether they involve lab experiments, large-scale surveys, or qualitative observations—against rigorous methodological critique. It emphasizes establishing a clear, credible link between theoretical mechanisms and empirical evidence, focusing specifically on the structure-individual link. It covers advanced inference techniques, identifying potential confounding variables, and articulating the design's limitations.

A comprehensive guide for authors preparing manuscripts for Social Psychology Quarterly (SPQ). It ensures that all tables and figures are self-contained, highly accessible, and correctly formatted according to the ASA Style Guide. The focus is on clearly communicating the 'structure–individual link' and presenting complex statistical results to a mixed sociology/psychology readership.
