Skill UI

This skill guides the construction of robust, production-grade backtesting systems for financial trading strategies. It helps users systematically validate performance, avoid common biases (like look-ahead bias), and implement advanced techniques such as walk-forward analysis, ensuring reliable performance estimates before live deployment.

This skill acts as an expert risk manager, providing comprehensive guidance on monitoring portfolio risk, calculating R-multiples, and optimizing position limits. It covers advanced quantitative finance topics such as Value at Risk (VaR), correlation analysis, and stress testing using Monte Carlo simulations. Use it for systematic risk assessment, developing hedging strategies (options/futures), and implementing rigorous risk controls in trading workflows.

This guide provides a rigorous framework for strengthening economic manuscripts submitted to top journals, such as AEJ: Micro. It details how to systematically test the robustness of main results through theoretical extensions (e.g., relaxing assumptions, perturbations) and applied/experimental methods (e.g., sensitivity analyses, placebo tests). Learn how to identify extensions that truly 'earn their place' and significantly enhance the overall academic contribution of your work.

A comprehensive toolkit designed for international macroeconomics research, ensuring that headline estimates are stable and reliable. It systematically tests the robustness of findings against common methodological threats, such as leaving out individual countries, changing sample periods, controlling for global common shocks, or varying estimation specifications. Essential for submitting high-impact academic papers.

This specialized router guides the entire manuscript development process for submissions to The Review of Economics and Statistics (REStat). It does not replace specialized skills but systematically directs users through the full research pipeline—from initial topic selection and causal identification to robustness testing, figure creation, and rebuttal strategy—ensuring a structured approach to applied econometrics research.
