PyMC is a powerful Python library for probabilistic programming and advanced Bayesian inference. This comprehensive guide details the full workflow for building, fitting, and validating complex Bayesian models. Learn to implement hierarchical structures, perform MCMC sampling (NUTS), conduct posterior predictive checks (PPC), and effectively quantify uncertainty using industry best practices.

A comprehensive set of guidelines for generating maps, figures, and tables for academic journals. This guide emphasizes cartographic standards, statistical rigor, and maximizing the visual argument, ensuring that all exhibits are reproducible, legible in print, and adhere to strict word count limitations. It covers everything from projection choice and data normalization to model plot interpretation and handling spatial uncertainty.

This skill guides researchers on the mandatory, rigorous evaluation of complex systems models (e.g., AgSy). It details best practices for model validation, emphasizing the comparison of observed vs. simulated data using independent, held-out datasets. Key components covered include standard fit statistics (RMSE, NSE), sensitivity analysis (identifying core drivers), uncertainty propagation, and multi-objective trade-off/scenario analysis to ensure scientific credibility.

This guide provides rigorous guidelines for creating high-quality figures and tables for complex systems manuscripts, especially in agricultural science. It emphasizes shifting focus from single-factor bar charts to systemic visualizations that reveal interactions, trade-offs (e.g., Pareto fronts), model dynamics, resource flows (Sankey diagrams), and model performance (observed-vs-simulated fit). Exhibits must be self-contained, reproducible, and convey uncertainty.

This guide details the rigorous data analysis and reporting standards required for top-tier academic journals, such as AJPS. It focuses intensely on reproducibility, ensuring that all results—from primary findings to exploratory models—are generated by a single, seeded master script. Key requirements include reporting uncertainty intervals, proving robustness, adhering to pre-registration discipline, and accommodating mandatory third-party code verification. Use this when conducting complex empirical research in social sciences or political science, needing to withstand intensive methodolo...

This guide outlines the rigorous standards for presenting tables and figures in Cognitive Psychology manuscripts. It emphasizes moving beyond simple bar charts of means, requiring authors to overlay the model's predicted curve onto observed data, reveal distributions and uncertainty intervals, and accurately report parameter estimates with confidence intervals. The goal is to ensure reproducible, comprehensive, and highly informative scientific communication.

This comprehensive guide outlines the strict analytical and reporting standards required for top-tier conservation biology manuscripts. It covers everything from selecting appropriate statistical models (e.g., hierarchical, spatial) to honestly quantifying uncertainty, ensuring full reproducibility, and translating complex findings into actionable, decision-relevant conservation insights. Use this skill when performing main analyses or preparing manuscripts for expert peer review.

A comprehensive guide for rigorous data analysis execution and reporting in criminology research. This skill covers advanced econometric techniques required for analyzing complex crime data, including count models (Negative Binomial, Zero-Inflated), fixed-effects panel data, and survival/recidivism modeling. It emphasizes transparently reporting uncertainty, addressing selection bias, and ensuring methods are fully reproducible for expert peer review.

This guide provides detailed reporting norms for reducing and analyzing complex Earth and Planetary Science Letters (EPSL) data, specifically focusing on isotope geochemistry and geochronology. It mandates full uncertainty budgeting, proper statistical interpretation (e.g., MSWD, weighted means), and thorough model diagnostics to ensure results are scientifically defensible and reproducible.

A comprehensive guide for executing and reporting robust statistical analyses for manuscripts in Global Change Biology (GCB). This skill ensures the analysis meets the high standards of reproducibility required for publicly archived data (DOI). It covers advanced methods including mixed/hierarchical modeling, time-series and spatial analysis, meta-analysis, and rigorous uncertainty quantification (parameter, structural, and scenario). It emphasizes statistical rigor over result fabrication, guiding the use of appropriate inferential machinery based on data structure.

A comprehensive guide detailing the rigorous statistical and methodological norms required for publishing family research, specifically tailored for journals like JMF. It covers handling complex survey weights, non-independence in dyads and families, missing data imputation, attrition modeling, and robust reporting of uncertainty and selection effects.

This guide outlines the rigorous standards for data analysis, ensuring that published research is fully reproducible and statistically robust. It covers best practices for statistical modeling, reporting uncertainty (CIs, SEs), managing robustness checks, and structuring manuscripts to meet high academic journal requirements while maintaining full transparency and methodological integrity.
