A detailed guide to the Journal of Human Resources (JHR) editorial standards. It helps authors understand the unique hurdles, including the single-anonymous review process, passing the fast desk-reject screen, fulfilling the critical reconciliation requirement with prior literature, and optimizing the review-recycling shortcut. Essential preparation for academic submissions.

This comprehensive guide provides meticulous standards for presenting quantitative empirical results, particularly for academic journals like JHR. It covers the structure for main estimates, design diagnostics (pre-trends, balance), reconciliation tables, and organizing the online appendix. Learn how to maximize clarity and impact while adhering to strict page limits.

This tool guides researchers on whether their academic topic aligns with the scope of an empirical microeconomics journal, specifically the Journal of Human Resources (JHR). It emphasizes that the research must focus on policy-relevant, causal questions in core fields (e.g., labor, health, education), strictly differentiating it from purely organizational behavior or 'HR management' studies. It serves as a critical gatekeeper before formal submission.

This comprehensive guide provides rigorous methodological guidelines for executing and reporting empirical analysis on cross-national, multi-level, or panel data, specifically tailored for top-tier international business journals. It covers essential checks like measurement invariance (configural to scalar), Common Method Variance (CMV), dynamic endogeneity, and appropriate estimation techniques (e.g., Multilevel SEM, GMM), ensuring research meets the highest academic standards.

A specialized guide for structuring rigorous empirical studies, particularly for journals like JIBS. It helps researchers map their research phenomenon to the correct cross-country, multilevel, or panel design. Critically, it mandates planning for advanced econometric issues—including common-method variance, measurement equivalence, and dynamic endogeneity—at the initial design stage to ensure methodological rigor.

A comprehensive guide for authors preparing a major revision and response letter after a top-tier academic journal review (e.g., JIBS). It details the necessary workflow, including prioritizing feedback from the area editor, executing complex methodologies (cross-national measurement, CMV, endogeneity, invariance testing), and structuring a precise, point-by-point response to demonstrate rigorous compliance with journal standards.

This guide provides a comprehensive pre-submission preflight checklist for manuscripts targeting the Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS). It ensures authors meet all structural, formatting, and ethical requirements, including double-blind anonymization, adhering to the JIBS Style Guide, managing word counts, and complying with Data Accessibility Statement (DART) policies before submitting to the Springer Nature portal.

This guide assists in creating high-quality, journal-ready exhibits (tables and figures) specifically for the Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS). It covers complex topics like cross-country descriptives, measurement-invariance tests, main results presentation, and cross-level interactions. The focus is on ensuring statistical rigor, strict adherence to journal style, and effective word count management for cross-border academic publications.

This guide provides comprehensive methodological frameworks for conducting rigorous empirical analyses in international trade and macroeconomics, particularly tailored to the standards of top-tier journals like the JIE. It covers assembling bilateral trade and cross-country panels, estimating gravity models using PPML, implementing local projections, and calibrating structural open-economy models. It ensures analyses are robust, replicable, and address common referee criticisms.

This guide provides comprehensive, advanced econometric strategies for ensuring robust identification in international economics manuscripts, specifically for high-impact journals. It covers modern approaches for gravity models (using PPML), staggered trade-policy shocks (Callaway-Sant'Anna), shift-share analyses, and structural open-economy modeling. It helps authors stress-test their research designs against rigorous academic standards.

This comprehensive guide details the strict replication and data deposit policies required by the Journal of International Economics (JIE). It ensures that all components—including raw data, cleaning scripts, structural solver code, and master scripts—are properly deposited in a secure repository (like Mendeley Data) before publication acceptance, guaranteeing full research reproducibility.

This skill guides authors in building and auditing tables and figures for submissions to the Journal of International Economics (JIE). It emphasizes that all exhibits must be self-contained and immediately understandable by a specialized referee. Focus areas include gravity tables, event-study plots, structural counterfactual charts, and how to report economic magnitudes (e.g., elasticity) rather than just statistical significance.
