This guide outlines the stringent reproducibility and data requirements for submitting manuscripts to Agricultural Systems (AgSy). Because AgSy treats code, models, and algorithms as research data, authors must learn how to deposit all materials in a recognized repository (e.g., Zenodo, OSF), cite them permanently, and document the model structure, parameters, and versions. It provides a checklist for building a reproducible research workflow.

A comprehensive guide for authors preparing manuscripts for submission to The Economic Journal (EJ). It covers format requirements, single-blind review guidelines, author-date referencing, JEL codes, data/code policy (Zenodo), and the detailed submission process via Editorial Express. Use this checklist for the final mechanical gate check before submission.

This comprehensive guide teaches authors how to structure a persuasive and impactful introduction for top-tier economics journals. It covers the 'funnel structure,' effective hooks (data, policy, theory), identifying research puzzles (tension), and formulating non-overlapping, specific marginal contributions, ensuring the paper's core findings are previewed.

This framework guides authors in transforming raw empirical findings into compelling academic contributions suitable for top-tier finance journals. It teaches how to sharpen the focus from merely presenting 'better data' to articulating the underlying financial mechanism, institutional friction, or policy implication, ensuring the research answers the critical question of 'why it matters.'

This guide teaches authors how to precisely position their academic contribution within existing specialized literature, particularly in finance and banking. It moves beyond vague claims by anchoring the work to canonical economic mechanisms and distinguishing the specific 'delta' (new shocks, frictions, or datasets). Mastering this skill ensures the manuscript clearly articulates its unique value and policy relevance to experts.

This guide helps researchers determine if their manuscript is suitable for highly quantitative, theory-driven journals. It emphasizes evaluating the core deliverable—whether it consists of a formal model, provable properties, and an algorithm, rather than relying solely on empirical data or policy recommendations. Essential for optimizing journal submission strategy.

This guide helps researchers structure the Policy Contribution Statement required by journals like JPP&M. It teaches how to transform solid research findings and data estimates into actionable, evidence-based policy recommendations. Focus areas include defining the policy conversation, identifying specific regulated actors, ensuring recommendations are within the actor's authority, and strictly linking claims to the empirical evidence provided.

A detailed guide for researchers preparing manuscripts for public economics journals (e.g., JPubE). It outlines best practices for creating a fully auditable, reproducible research package, focusing on data-availability statements, handling restricted administrative data (like tax or health records), and adhering to journal Option C requirements.

This guide provides best practices for optimizing the presentation of data exhibits—including tables, figures, and qualitative displays—in development economics manuscripts. It ensures that complex findings are highly legible and actionable for a multidisciplinary, policy-oriented audience, moving beyond simple statistical reporting to communicate clear, impactful narratives.
