This router guides the entire lifecycle for writing complex, theory-driven academic manuscripts, particularly in fields like econometrics. It provides a structured roadmap spanning from initial topic selection and literature positioning through rigorous proof development, data simulation, drafting style, and the final submission/rebuttal phases. Use this resource when you are unsure of the correct sequential step or need a systematic check of all necessary components before finalizing your work.

This guide provides a comprehensive strategy for navigating the rigorous developmental review cycle of top-tier academic journals. It teaches users how to interpret complex decision letters (Desk Reject, Major R&R), identify binding concerns from both editors and reviewers, and strategically determine if a revision effort is worthwhile before resubmission.

This guide provides structured criteria for selecting high-quality, publishable topics for academic law review submissions, such as the Harvard Law Review. It emphasizes that successful topics must possess broad legal significance, be timely (linked to recent legal developments), and contain a clear normative argument, moving beyond mere descriptive surveys.

This guide provides a comprehensive understanding of the Human Relations (HR) journal's two-gate review system. It details the editorial scoping screen, the double-anonymous developmental peer review, and how to accurately interpret various decision types (e.g., Major Revision vs. Reject). It is crucial for authors to calibrate expectations regarding theoretical contribution, process timelines, and strategic decisions about rerouting to sibling journals.

A comprehensive guide for developing rigorous theory for Information Systems Research (ISR) manuscripts. It outlines two primary theorizing modes—Behavioral (focusing on explicit causal mechanisms centered on the IT artifact) and Analytical (deriving propositions from economic/equilibrium models). The framework emphasizes making the theory sociotechnical by bridging traditional IS silos and ensuring the IT artifact is the load-bearing theoretical element, moving beyond simple correlation to mechanistic insight.

A comprehensive guide for transforming descriptive academic material into a sharp, contestable, and thesis-driven argument. This skill helps scholars structure their research papers, moving beyond mere surveys or descriptions to make claims that can be disputed and defended with evidence and rigorous method, suitable for high-level scholarly journals.

This comprehensive router guides researchers through the entire process of developing, analyzing, and submitting a manuscript to the Journal of Accounting and Economics (JAE). It provides a structured roadmap, helping users determine the next critical step—from initial topic selection and theory development to advanced econometrics, contribution framing, and final submission preparation. It ensures that the work maintains a rigorous, economics-based argument using archival data, preventing common pitfalls like vague ideas or insufficient identification strategies.

This guide provides a structured framework for drafting a point-by-point rebuttal letter after receiving a major revision decision from a top-tier academic journal. It emphasizes strategic communication, prioritizing the Senior Editor's concerns, addressing technical issues in the appropriate disciplinary 'currency,' and maintaining a developmental, professional tone to maximize the chances of acceptance.

A comprehensive guide detailing the developmental, double-blind review process for the Journal of the Association for Information Systems (JAIS). Learn about the critical importance of 'fit' screening, how the Senior Editor interprets submissions, and how to correctly interpret decision letters (Major/Minor Revision, Desk Reject) to maximize your chances of acceptance.

A comprehensive guide detailing the academic submission and review process for the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science (JAMS). Learn about the double-anonymization, the developmental review philosophy, the dual evaluation criteria (theoretical and managerial contribution), and how to interpret complex decision letters (Desk Reject, Major Revision, etc.) to successfully frame your research.

This guide outlines the rigorous method for developing econometrically testable hypotheses for accounting research, particularly for high-tier journals. Instead of relying on vague constructs, it teaches how to ground predictions in core economic theories like information economics, agency theory, and contracting frictions. It helps researchers build a clear mechanism by specifying the agent's optimization problem, identifying the core friction, and deriving conditional, testable predictions.

A comprehensive guide to understanding the Journal of Consumer Psychology (JCP) peer review process. This resource helps authors interpret editor decisions (desk-reject, major revision, etc.), sets realistic expectations for the revision timeline, and guides the development of a robust revision strategy, including when new studies are necessary.
