Skill UI

This advanced skill provides a rigorous framework for assessing whether an organizational or management research manuscript is suitable for highly selective, theory-driven journals like the Academy of Management Journal (AMJ). It guides authors on necessary theoretical framing, methodological rigor (e.g., endogeneity, causal inference), structural improvements, and common pitfalls to avoid, significantly improving submission quality and maximizing acceptance chances.

This comprehensive guide provides a structured workflow for responding to reviewer reports and revising academic manuscripts, specifically tailored for high-impact journals like China Rural Economy. It details best practices for point-by-point responses, managing methodological critiques (e.g., endogeneity), and ensuring logical consistency between the revised text and the rebuttal letter.

A comprehensive guide for authors preparing research manuscripts for top-tier academic economics journals. It details the systematic process of responding to reviewer reports (R&R), covering structural requirements, appropriate tones (acceptance, partial acceptance, rejection), and specific methodological tips (e.g., addressing endogeneity, mechanism identification, and policy relevance in the context of Chinese economics).

This guide provides a strategic framework for authors responding to major revisions (R&R) decisions from top academic journals. It details how to plan, revise, and write a disciplined point-by-point rebuttal letter. Key areas covered include prioritizing the handling editor's primary concerns, strengthening the core entrepreneurial contribution, and systematically addressing complex methodological issues such as selection bias, survivorship, and endogeneity.

A comprehensive strategy guide designed for researchers submitting papers in institutional or organizational economics. It teaches how to anticipate specialized referee objections—such as selection bias, endogeneity, or scope—before submission, ensuring the manuscript is robustly positioned for top-tier journals.

A comprehensive guide on structuring robustness checks for academic papers, particularly for Law, Economics, and Organization journals. Instead of simply listing additional tables, this method teaches how to organize checks by specific theoretical threats (selection bias, endogeneity, measurement error, alternative mechanisms) to strengthen the core institutional claim and anticipate referee criticism.

A comprehensive guide for authors responding to reviewers after journal revisions (R&R). It teaches the strategic structure of the rebuttal letter, emphasizing the editor's priorities, point-by-point responses, and how to professionally address complex methodological critiques, such as endogeneity, common-method bias, and theoretical contribution limitations, all while adhering to strict page limits.

This guide provides a structured framework for authors responding to Major Revision (R&R) decisions from high-tier academic journals like JOM. It emphasizes moving beyond simple point-by-point responses to prioritize the Department Editor's decisive concerns, resolving deep empirical method-check issues (e.g., endogeneity), and maintaining a clear, operations-focused narrative across multiple revision rounds.

A comprehensive pre-mortem guide designed for authors submitting to highly selective academic journals, such as JPE. It teaches how to anticipate and proactively address critical methodological objections—including General Equilibrium failures, endogeneity concerns, and lack of clear economic mechanisms—thereby significantly hardening the manuscript before formal review.

This guide provides a comprehensive framework for drafting a professional and persuasive response letter to academic journal reviewers following a major or minor revision (R&R). It details the precise structure, from addressing the editor to point-by-point rebuttals, emphasizing how to tackle core concerns like endogeneity and theoretical contribution with evidence, not just rhetoric.

This comprehensive guide walks authors through the rigorous academic review process, specifically referencing the Strategic Management Journal (SMJ). It teaches how to correctly interpret complex decision letters (e.g., Major Revision, Desk Reject), understand the roles of action editors and reviewers, and systematically identify critical concerns (such as contribution to theory or endogeneity). Use this skill when you need to structure a detailed revision plan and write a convincing rebuttal letter to a top-tier academic journal.
