This comprehensive preflight checklist guides authors through the rigorous submission process for the Journal of the European Economic Association (JEEA). It ensures compliance with specific academic standards, including single-blind review format, mandatory data availability declarations (DCAS), handling of supplemental materials, and adherence to current membership and fee requirements. Use this guide before finalizing your submission to avoid administrative rejections.

This guide helps economists evaluate whether their research question and findings possess sufficient general interest to be suitable for top-tier, broad-scope journals (like JEEA). It teaches authors to test if their 'lesson travels' beyond a niche subfield and whether their methodology meets a high standard of rigor, guiding them in selecting the optimal academic venue.

A comprehensive routing guide for developing and refining academic manuscripts targeting the Journal of the European Economic Association (JEEA). This skill diagnoses bottlenecks at every stage—from initial topic selection and theory modeling to empirical robustness checks and rebuttal strategy—ensuring the submission meets the high general-interest standards of top-tier economics journals.

This guide provides rigorous guidelines for revising academic manuscripts intended for general-interest economic journals. It teaches authors how to transform technically correct prose into a compelling narrative, ensuring that the core research question, the methodology, and the headline finding are immediately clear to a non-specialist audience. It emphasizes structuring the abstract and introduction with an answer-first approach.

A comprehensive guide for authors on structuring professional and scientifically sound rebuttals to major journal peer reviews (e.g., JEEM). It teaches how to triage demanding feedback, address core methodological critiques (spatial confounding, leakage, valuation bias), and maintain a collegial, evidence-based tone to strengthen the manuscript.

This guide provides a rigorous framework for authors submitting to specialized environmental economics journals (like JEEM). It helps authors determine if their research core environmental or resource mechanisms, articulate clear welfare/policy stakes, and pass the field-specific scrutiny required to make a novel, high-impact contribution.

A comprehensive guide for structuring environmental economics manuscripts, specifically tailored for high-impact journals. It teaches authors how to maintain a 'welfare-economics prose' standard, ensuring the crucial link between the environmental problem, the economic mechanism, and the policy implication is clearly and authoritatively presented. This prevents the paper from sounding like advocacy while retaining scientific rigor.

This guide teaches how to position highly specialized academic research within the complex field of economic growth. It provides a structured framework for authors to build their 'contribution spine,' ensuring their paper clearly bridges theoretical mechanisms and empirical evidence. It is essential for targeting top-tier journals that require a multi-dimensional placement of the research.

This comprehensive workflow guides researchers through the entire lifecycle of submitting a specialized academic paper to the Journal of Economic Growth (JEG). It maps out critical stages, from initial topic selection and literature positioning to rigorous data analysis, writing style adherence, and the post-submission review and rebuttal process. Essential for structuring theoretical, empirical, or mixed growth macroeconomics papers.

A comprehensive guide for authors responding to major revisions on highly selective, cross-disciplinary journals (like JEG). It teaches how to structure a rebuttal letter that successfully addresses conflicting feedback from referees—balancing econometric rigor with regional geographic context—ensuring the core contribution remains intact.

A comprehensive guide for authors submitting manuscripts to cross-disciplinary journals (e.g., Economics and Geography). It details how to anticipate and pre-emptively address systematic objections from two distinct scholarly communities, ensuring the paper satisfies both rigorous quantitative methods and deep spatial theory. Use this when your work bridges two fields and needs to survive double-anonymous review.

This guide provides essential stylistic rules for writing academic manuscripts intended for interdisciplinary audiences, specifically bridging economics and geography. It helps authors structure their arguments, translate complex technical apparatus into prose, and ensure the spatial contribution is legible to both economic and geographical scholars without diluting the core findings.
