A comprehensive guide for academic authors seeking to polish their manuscripts for top-tier urban economics journals. It focuses on restructuring the narrative to prioritize the spatial mechanism, ensuring the introduction, abstract, and results are grounded in concrete geography and interpretable policy magnitudes, rather than general statistical significance or abstract jargon.

This skill guides the structuring of the literature review section for general linguistics journals. Instead of confining the argument to a single subfield, it teaches how to frame the research contribution by engaging with major theoretical debates and rival accounts across diverse linguistic frameworks, thereby maximizing visibility and impact for a broad, expert audience.

A comprehensive guide for linguists on determining if their research project has sufficient theoretical scope and general significance for submission to a generalist, high-impact journal. It helps researchers transition from descriptive findings to theoretically grounded, cross-subfield claims, improving their structuring and argumentation before submission.

This comprehensive guide helps authors evaluate whether their philosophical manuscript meets the high standards required by leading generalist academic journals, such as Mind. This skill guides users on elevating empirical findings (raw correlations) into robust, generalizable, and theoretically grounded arguments suitable for high-impact academic journals. It teaches how to explicitly define mechanisms, scope conditions, and observable implications to transform descriptive work into conceptual, mechanistic contributions.

This guide provides a comprehensive framework for screening research topics to ensure they meet the high theoretical standards of major academic journals. It teaches researchers how to differentiate between valuable empirical data and genuinely generalizable theoretical mechanisms, helping to scope the problem, identify necessary theoretical tension, and formalize the proposed model. Use this when unsure if a rich empirical finding qualifies as a theory-driven review paper.

This skill polishes scholarly prose, abstracts, and introductions to align with the narrative-driven, ambitious style of the Quarterly Journal of Economics (QJE). It focuses on making the core research contribution immediately legible to a general-interest, non-specialist reader, ensuring the big idea lands fast, even in long-form empirical papers. The skill guides users on structuring the 'introduction arc,' stating findings with concrete numbers, and minimizing technical jargon.
