This guide clarifies what constitutes an 'artifact' for pure-theory venues like ITCS. It emphasizes that the core deliverable is not code or functional components, but the mathematical argument itself. Successful evaluation relies on providing complete, self-contained proofs within the submitted PDF, along with citing dependencies precisely. It details how to handle minor computational content to ensure static, verifiable checks.

This guide provides a structured methodology for translating highly technical academic papers, particularly in econometrics or macroeconomics, into plain language suitable for a broad scholarly audience (like the Journal of Economic Perspectives). It focuses on removing notation, jargon, and complex mathematical derivations, while rigorously preserving the underlying economic intuition and causal mechanism of the research.

A guide on how to present highly convincing empirical evidence in academic writing, especially in economics, when regression tables or complex math are limited. This skill teaches readers to translate statistical findings into clear, impactful prose by focusing on magnitude in plain units, synthesizing the body of evidence, defining ranges of precision, and maintaining intellectual honesty.

This guide provides comprehensive standards for structuring rigorous academic manuscripts, especially those in quantitative or mathematical fields. It emphasizes unifying notation (one symbol, one meaning), explicitly stating all assumptions, and separating core statements from lengthy proofs to maximize readability for journal reviewers.

This tool provides a systematic framework for formalizing complex management and business scenarios into a mathematically well-posed decision problem. It guides users through identifying the five critical elements: decision makers, decision variables, information structure, uncertainty sources, and objectives/constraints. This is essential for ensuring that subsequent models (optimization, game theory, etc.) are correctly structured and viable for rigorous research.

This skill is designed for advanced academic writing, helping users transform vague model findings into precise, testable mathematical propositions or theorems. It guides the rigorous structuring of proofs, ensuring logical completeness, correctly handling boundary conditions, and separating detailed derivations into an appendix, meeting the standards of top-tier academic journals.

This guide teaches researchers how to structure and articulate the contribution of a mathematical finance manuscript. It advises authors to move beyond simply proving a theorem, instead focusing on framing the methodological novelty and its direct payoff to financial modeling problems like pricing, hedging, risk management, and portfolio choice. It ensures the paper is seen as relevant to practitioners, not just mathematicians.

This guide teaches required skills for positioning mathematical finance research papers. It instructs authors on how to structure the literature review to clearly demonstrate methodological novelty by comparing their theorem precisely against existing results in stochastic analysis, pricing, and control theory. Focus must be on theorem-level contribution, not merely topic surveys.

A highly detailed writing style guide for academic manuscripts in Mathematical Finance. It instructs authors on structuring formal theorems, maintaining rigorous notation discipline, separating financial intuition from technical proofs, and ensuring consistency across stochastic analysis contexts. Ideal for improving the clarity and academic rigor of complex quantitative research papers.

A comprehensive guide for the late-stage polishing of academic manuscripts for submission to M&SOM. It focuses on restructuring the narrative to lead with the operational insight, developing a structured, jargon-free abstract, controlling mathematical notation, and adhering to strict INFORMS author-year citation styles and page limits.

A comprehensive audit checklist for authors preparing submissions for top-tier academic conferences like PODC. This guide covers critical submission stages, including the two-step abstract registration, selecting the appropriate paper track (Regular vs. Brief Announcement), adhering to the 10-page merits rule, maintaining double-blind anonymity, and ensuring the mathematical rigor of the proof. Use this before final submission.

This guide details the specific rules for assembling supplementary material for PODS submissions. It covers how to correctly partition content between the main 15-page body and the appendix, ensuring all mathematical proofs are complete, self-contained, and included within a single PDF file. It also addresses double-anonymous hygiene and page budget discipline.
