Skill UI

This skill serves as a routing mechanism for academic manuscript preparation, specifically tailored for the Journal of Finance and Economics. It guides users through sequential stages from topic selection and literature review to empirical identification, mechanism analysis, and rebuttal. It ensures alignment with CSSCI journal standards and helps determine the next specialized skill needed based on current manuscript status.

A comprehensive router designed to guide researchers through the entire lifecycle of writing a highly rigorous academic paper for top-tier econometrics journals, such as Econometrica. It outlines the necessary steps—from initial topic selection and theoretical positioning to detailed identification checks, robustness testing, and final submission package assembly—ensuring the manuscript meets the highest standards of mathematical rigor and scholarly depth. This guide does not replace specialized skills but dictates the optimal sequence of research stages.

A comprehensive guide for authors responding to peer review and editorial board reports for top-tier academic journals. It covers the correct revision sequencing (manuscript first, then letter), structures for point-by-point replies, strategies for accepting, partially accepting, or rebutting reviewer comments, and deciding the optimal placement of supplementary analysis (body vs. appendix).

This guide provides a structured methodology for positioning academic research manuscripts, particularly for top-tier journals like the International Economic Review (IER). It teaches authors how to articulate a novel contribution (the 'delta') by defining the current academic frontier, identifying consequential gaps, and demonstrating how their work is both methodologically rigorous and generally applicable, thus justifying its placement against competing publications.

This guide helps authors structure their academic paper's contribution statement for journals like JAMS. It emphasizes the mandatory dual mandate: developing both a consequential theoretical understanding and a concrete, quantifiable managerial action. Use this skill when your results are strong, but you need to clearly articulate the 'so what' for both academia and industry, particularly when facing 'incremental' critiques.

This guide provides a structured methodology for academic researchers writing for top-tier journals (like JAR). It teaches how to move beyond merely stating empirical results to clearly articulating the specific, novel, and economically consequential contribution of the research. It emphasizes identifying the causal mechanism, the relative increment over prior work, and the broader theoretical or practical implications for the accounting field.

This guide teaches researchers how to structure and frame academic papers, specifically for journals focusing on financial intermediation. It emphasizes moving the contribution narrative away from general finance concepts and anchoring it firmly in the roles of institutions, economic friction, causal mechanisms, and policy consequences within the financial system. Use this to strengthen abstracts and introduction paragraphs.

This workflow router guides authors through the complex lifecycle of submitting a paper to the Journal of Financial Intermediation (JFI). It coordinates the entire academic writing process, determining the optimal sequence of skills based on whether the contribution is theory-led or empirics-led. It is designed to help authors structure their research, focusing on methodological rigor (e.g., Gate B checks) before drafting the final prose.

This comprehensive guide provides authors with deep insight into Nature Immunology's high standards. It covers everything from field-shifting scientific significance and required mechanistic evidence (e.g., in vivo models, scRNA-seq) to specific house styles, abstract structure, and optimal venue selection. Use this skill for pre-submission vetting and improving the conceptual framing of your immunology research.

This tool converts various academic citation formats (e.g., APA, Harvard) into the specific Vancouver/ICMJE numbered style required by the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM). It ensures citations are numbered sequentially by appearance, handles limited author lists (first 6 + et al.), uses NLM abbreviations for journals, and performs a comprehensive evidence audit, ensuring the manuscript adheres to the strict standards of high-impact medical publishing.

This comprehensive guide details the professional process for handling major or minor revisions (R&R) for academic journals. It instructs authors on how to first fundamentally revise the manuscript—strengthening mechanisms and overall contribution—and subsequently drafting a structured, non-combative, point-by-point response letter. The guide emphasizes adhering to strict academic norms, such as verbatim quoting, avoiding response duplication, and critically prioritizing the Senior Editor's main concerns.

This skill provides a comprehensive framework for assessing whether an economics manuscript is suitable for the Quarterly Journal of Economics (QJE). It guides authors through evaluating the research scope (must be general-interest), evidence quality (requires clean natural experiments or quasi-experimental designs), narrative structure (leading with consequential findings), and adherence to rigorous academic submission standards.
