This skill provides a comprehensive framework for assessing whether an economics manuscript is suitable for the Quarterly Journal of Economics (QJE). It guides authors through evaluating the research scope (must be general-interest), evidence quality (requires clean natural experiments or quasi-experimental designs), narrative structure (leading with consequential findings), and adherence to rigorous academic submission standards.

This auxiliary skill helps researchers assess the suitability of their academic manuscripts in economics, social science, or management for submission to high-level journals like 'Reform of Economic System'. It provides comprehensive guidance on journal positioning, required theoretical depth, appropriate methodology, structural requirements, and common pitfalls, helping authors significantly improve their submission readiness and increase acceptance chances.

This skill is designed to polish the writing style and structure of interdisciplinary Research Policy manuscripts. It ensures that the core innovation-studies argument is clear and accessible to diverse readerships, including economists, management scholars, and policymakers. It focuses on structuring the narrative, translating field-specific jargon, and making the policy contribution visible and impactful throughout the paper.

A comprehensive guide and style checker for revising applied economics manuscripts (e.g., for REStat). It ensures the prose is 'empirical-first,' immediately presenting the applied question, the headline estimate (with units and SE), and the design. It mandates a concise abstract (≤100 words) that clearly states the finding with a number, moving the writing away from vague, passive academic language toward plain, quantitative prose.

A comprehensive preflight checklist for submitting manuscripts to The Review of Economic Studies (REStud). It guides researchers through critical steps, including ensuring double-anonymity, adhering to Harvard author-date referencing, managing the length limit (~45 pages), and preparing supplementary online appendices. This tool ensures all academic formatting and procedural requirements are met before the final submission.

This skill polishes the prose and structure of advanced academic manuscripts for top-tier journals. It focuses on enhancing clarity, conciseness, and logical flow, especially optimizing the introduction and abstract to ensure the core research contribution is immediately evident and highly readable, without altering the original results or economic models.

This guide helps authors polish the prose and structure of academic accounting manuscripts, particularly for top-tier journal submissions. It emphasizes front-loading the contribution in the introduction, crafting a high-impact abstract, and adopting an active, authoritative 'house voice' that guides the reader immediately to the core finding and its implication.

A comprehensive guide for authors revising academic manuscripts following peer review decisions (major/minor revision). It teaches how to triage complex reviewer comments, restructure the literature search, strengthen analysis robustness, and draft a professional, point-by-point response letter to maximize acceptance chances.

This skill provides a comprehensive guide for authors submitting manuscripts to elite economics journals, such as Review of Economic Studies. It assesses the paper's fit by evaluating novelty, theoretical rigor, methodological sophistication, and adherence to modern academic standards, helping authors strategically position their work and decide on the best target venue.

This skill acts as a specialized guide for researchers submitting applied econometrics or empirical economics manuscripts. It helps authors assess the suitability of their work for the Review of Economics and Statistics (REStat) venue. It emphasizes framing the contribution around careful identification, robust measurement, and clean design, rather than general interest, providing crucial pre-submission self-checks and identifying potential desk-reject risks.

This comprehensive guide provides authors with a strategic framework for submitting academic manuscripts to top-tier journals. It details best practices for suggesting and opposing expert reviewers, and, crucially, performing an 'objection pre-mortem.' By anticipating common critiques (e.g., lack of novelty, identification threats) and preparing robust counter-arguments beforehand, authors can significantly strengthen their paper and increase their chances of acceptance.

This guide provides a comprehensive framework for polishing academic manuscripts, specifically tailored for submission to top financial journals like The Review of Financial Studies (RFS). It focuses on the late-stage refinement of prose, structuring the abstract and introduction, and ensuring the core research contribution and economic magnitude are immediately legible to the editor and reviewers.
