This guide details the critical process of revising a scholarly review article following feedback from journal editors or peer reviewers (e.g., ARPsych). It provides a structured methodology for addressing coverage gaps, ensuring balance, correcting inaccuracies, and maintaining the integrity of the manuscript's core argument (the 'spine'). It covers everything from point-by-point response letters to handling final copyediting queries.

This guide provides an in-depth breakdown of the academic research paper review cycle, using top-tier database conferences (like SIGMOD) as a case study. It covers the double-anonymous review process, the author feedback phase, interpreting the Accept/Reject/Revise verdicts, and navigating the post-decision revision window and embargo rules. Essential knowledge for authors preparing submissions to top-tier conference proceedings.

A comprehensive guide for authors responding to major or minor revisions following peer review at top-tier journals (e.g., World Development). It teaches how to structure the rebuttal letter, synthesize conflicting referee demands (methodology vs. context), and strategically triage feedback—conceding, strengthening, or defending—to maximize the chance of publication.

This skill provides a comprehensive, reproducible rubric for evaluating scholarly and scientific work. It covers nine critical dimensions—including problem statement, methodology, data evidence, analysis rigor, and citation quality—making it ideal for reviewing research papers, grant proposals, literature reviews, and academic theses. Use it to provide structured, actionable, and professional feedback to enhance scholarly output.
