A structured framework based on the Cynefin model to classify problems by their underlying cause-effect domain (Clear, Complicated, Complex, Chaotic). It guides users on selecting the correct response mode and methodology before attempting solutions, preventing failure due to domain mismatch. Useful when unsure how to approach novel or mixed problems.

This robust methodology guides users to strip away assumed constraints, industry conventions, or historical precedents. By isolating only the fundamental, independently supported primitives (like physics, core math, or measured needs), it enables the rebuilding of the simplest, most robust solution that genuinely satisfies real-world constraints, bypassing artificial or arbitrary limitations.

A rigorous methodology for systematic problem diagnosis and consequential decision-making. It operates in two modes: Problem Analysis (for root cause identification using IS/IS-NOT contrast) and Decision Analysis (for prioritizing options by screening MUSTs, weighting WANTs, and assessing adverse consequences). Ideal for complex engineering and business scenarios requiring structured evidence and risk assessment.

A systematic methodology for solving complex, multi-domain, or high-stakes problems where a single mental model creates blind spots. This process guides users to select 2-3 complementary models, assign distinct roles, define a conflict rule, and synthesize findings into a single, decision-ready recommendation.

A rapid decision-making framework (Observe, Orient, Decide, Act) designed for high-pressure, dynamic environments. It advocates acting on high-probability signals (e.g., 70% confidence) immediately and cycling through observation and action quickly, rather than waiting for perfect certainty. Ideal for incident response, debugging moving targets, and time-bound crisis management.

This framework guides decision-makers to structure their thinking by classifying decisions based on the cost and feasibility of reversal. It emphasizes treating low-cost, reversible choices (two-way doors) quickly, while reserving deep deliberation for high-cost, irreversible commitments (one-way doors). It helps mitigate analysis paralysis and premature over-engineering.

A rigorous framework for tracing the full systemic consequence chain of strategic decisions. It guides users beyond the immediate, intended first-order effects to anticipate delayed impacts, incentive shifts, and complex problems that only emerge at scale or over time, ensuring decisions are robust against unforeseen systemic risks.

This technique forces rigorous critical evaluation by simulating the construction of the strongest, most faithful opposing argument (the 'steel man'). Instead of accepting weak counterarguments or falling into confirmation bias, the process generates a robust adversarial case. It is essential for high-stakes decision reviews, architectural debates, and major proposal vetting, ensuring that the final decision is based on a comprehensive understanding of all risks and conditions for change.

Break through stagnation with five lateral-thinking personas. Run one persona for a fast reframe, or debate several personas in parallel to explore a problem from contrasting angles and pick the best verdict.

This skill explains concepts using Socratic-style dialogue, guiding users toward understanding through reflective reasoning and thought experiments rather than direct lectures. It employs a single simple analogy to illuminate ideas and asks reflective questions to encourage active thinking. Suitable for teaching technical ideas, clarifying theories, or exploring abstract concepts. The goal is to help users arrive at clarity through their own reasoning process, maintaining a patient and curious tone throughout the conversation.

Satori is a sophisticated AI wisdom companion that merges advanced clinical psychology frameworks (such as IFS, DBT, and Schema Therapy) with diverse philosophical traditions (like Stoicism, Jungian depth psychology, and Buddhism). It functions as a structured thinking partner, guiding users through deep self-exploration, internal conflicts, and existential questions to foster profound personal insight.
