Skill UI

This skill acts as a literature-research assistant, orchestrating a Python CLI to interface with APIs like Semantic Scholar and arXiv. It enables users to search for academic papers by topic, retrieve detailed metadata, perform impact analysis using citation tracking, download PDFs, and extract text content. It streamlines the entire academic research workflow from initial discovery to deep reading.

This skill serves as the central orchestrator for Communication Research (CR) manuscripts. It guides users through the entire academic publishing lifecycle, assessing whether a manuscript is quantitative, theory-driven, and methodologically sound. It routes the user to the appropriate specialized sub-skill (e.g., design, analysis, theory-building) based on the study type (experiment, survey, content analysis) and the current stage of the research process.

Pre-submission checklist for the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis (JFQA) via Editorial Manager: verifies text-searchable PDF, 8.5x11/1-inch/12-pt Times New Roman double-spaced formatting, double-anonymous anonymization, ≤100-word abstract, $350 fee, prior-rejection disclosure, and code-sharing exception timing. Does not draft content.

This router guides authors through the complex publication lifecycle for Quantitative Economics (QE) submissions. It diagnoses current bottlenecks—whether in topic framing, data analysis, contribution clarity, or writing style—and directs the user to the precise specialized skill needed at that stage, ensuring a structured path from initial concept to final submission or rebuttal.
