Skill UI

This tool serves as the central workflow router for manuscripts targeting the British Journal of Political Science (BJPS). It guides the user through the entire academic writing and submission lifecycle, from initial topic selection and literature positioning to rigorous data analysis, writing style refinement, and final submission/rebuttal. It diagnoses the appropriate format (Article, Letter, Comment) and the next required skill stage, ensuring the research meets the journal's requirement for broad, general interest in political science.

This skill guides authors on submitting manuscripts to Earth and Planetary Science Letters (EPSL). It evaluates whether quantitative research in geochemistry, geophysics, or planetary science presents a generalizable process or mechanism of broad scientific interest, adhering to Elsevier's rigorous house style and data policies. Use it as a fit/venue-selection tool for re-framing specialized regional studies into broadly relevant scientific mechanisms.

This guide helps researchers determine if their academic topic possesses sufficient breadth of interest for major, general-interest economics journals, such as the European Economic Review (EER). It provides frameworks and checklists to diagnose whether a contribution is too niche or if it can be successfully reframed to appeal to a non-specialist audience, ensuring it passes initial desk-reject filters.

This comprehensive workflow router guides researchers through the entire lifecycle of preparing a manuscript for the European Economic Review (EER). It systematically diagnoses bottlenecks and maps the optimal sequence of specialized skills—from refining the general-interest topic, building causal identification, strengthening theory models, checking robustness, to mastering the writing style and managing the final submission package. It ensures the academic output meets the high standards of a top-tier economics journal.

This guide provides a structured framework for drafting a scholarly rebuttal and response letter after receiving conditional acceptance or major revisions from a journal. It advises researchers on prioritizing editor feedback, strategically addressing referee comments (triage), sharpening the paper's general interest framing, and maintaining a professional, evidence-based tone. It emphasizes focusing on core credibility and impact rather than merely adding robustness tables.

Designed for authors submitting to general-interest journals like JEEA. This skill helps stress-test a manuscript by simulating the two-gate decision process: the co-editor's fit assessment (desk-reject risk) and the referees' technical critiques. It guides authors on pre-empting common objections—such as general interest lack, identification weakness, or model fragility—by strategically framing the paper before submission.

This guide assists authors in determining if their literary or language-studies manuscript is suitable for PMLA, the flagship journal of the Modern Language Association. It covers general-interest argument framing, close reading expectations, MLA house style compliance, and best practices for scholarly engagement, helping authors re-frame highly specialized work for a broad academic audience.

This guide helps scholars assess whether their literary or language-studies project meets the broad, general-interest standards of PMLA. It provides a detailed "fit test" framework, ensuring the work focuses on a significant problem, maintains broad scholarly interest, and presents a sustained argument rather than a descriptive survey. Useful for framing academic essays or deciding between different publication venues.

This guide helps researchers evaluate whether a finance research topic meets the general-interest and intellectual standards of top-tier academic journals. It provides critical frameworks, such as testing for a "first-order question," "generality," and "top-three standards," ensuring the idea has broad appeal beyond a niche field. Ideal for pre-submission vetting and refining academic arguments.

This tool acts as a comprehensive workflow router for manuscripts aiming for top-tier journals like Science. It doesn't write the content but guides the user through essential stages—from initial significance testing to final submission and rebuttal. It diagnoses bottlenecks and suggests the next specialized skill needed, ensuring the manuscript meets high standards for general interest and structure.
