This tool serves as an orchestrator for manuscripts submitted to the Annals of the AAG. It guides authors through the complex submission process by helping define the appropriate academic area (e.g., Human Geography, Physical Geography), the article format (Article, Commentary), and the sequential developmental stages—from topic selection and theory building to data analysis and final submission. It ensures the work is framed legitimately as *geography*.

A comprehensive academic guide for refining research questions intended for the Journal of Economic Geography (JEG). It implements a rigorous "two-community test," ensuring the topic successfully bridges geographical economics (quantitative models) and human geography (place-based studies). Use this checklist before major data collection to validate the mechanism and justify the spatial role of the research.

This router guides researchers through the complex process of preparing a manuscript for the Journal of Economic Geography (JEG). It determines the optimal sequence of specialized skills needed at each stage—from initial topic selection, theoretical modeling, and robustness checks to drafting a rebuttal. It is designed to ensure the paper meets the unique interdisciplinary standards required to satisfy both economic and geographical reviewers.

This guide helps authors assess the suitability of their manuscript for the Journal of Economic Geography (JoEG). It is a comprehensive tool for interdisciplinary papers spanning spatial economics, regional development, and cluster analysis. It covers academic fit, methodological rigor (including spatial inference), structural requirements, and common rejection pitfalls, helping authors effectively re-frame their work for target academic venues.
