This skill provides comprehensive detection methods for credential dumping techniques, a critical post-exploitation phase in cyber attacks. It targets the extraction of sensitive credentials from LSASS memory, SAM registry hives, and NTDS.dit using advanced security visibility. Detection relies on analyzing Sysmon Event ID 10 (ProcessAccess), Windows Security logs, and complex SIEM correlation rules, making it essential for SOC analysts and threat hunters investigating advanced persistent threats (APTs).

A comprehensive guide and workflow for detecting Mimikatz and similar credential-dumping activities. It utilizes command-line pattern matching, LSASS memory access signatures, binary indicators, and in-memory analysis. Ideal for threat hunting, scoping compromises during incident response, or validating detection coverage in purple team exercises using EDR/SIEM data.

A comprehensive guide and set of detection rules for identifying OS credential dumping techniques (MITRE T1003). It leverages EDR telemetry, Sysmon process access monitoring, and Windows security event correlation to detect attacks targeting LSASS memory, SAM databases, and NTDS.dit files. Essential for proactive threat hunting and incident response.

This guide details the exploitation of the critical Zerologon vulnerability (CVE-2020-1472) in Active Directory Domain Controllers. It demonstrates the methodology for resetting the DC machine account password to empty, achieving full domain compromise. Subsequent steps include dumping domain credentials using DCSync. Essential for authorized red-teaming and security validation.

LaZagne is an open-source post-exploitation tool utilized by red teams to harvest stored credentials from compromised endpoints. It supports Windows, Linux, and macOS, extracting passwords from browsers (Chrome, Edge), databases (MySQL, SQLite), system vaults (DPAPI, LSA), and various applications. It is crucial for privilege escalation and lateral movement during authorized security assessments.

This skill provides advanced detection methods for credential dumping, covering LSASS memory access, SAM hive extraction, and NTDS.dit theft (e.g., using Mimikatz). It utilizes Sysmon Event ID 10 and Windows Security logs to enable threat hunting, assisting SOC analysts in triaging EDR alerts and building robust SIEM correlation rules.

NetExec is a comprehensive, multi-protocol tool designed for authorized penetration testing and red-teaming. It functions as a 'swiss-army knife' for assessing Windows, Active Directory, and Linux environments. Key capabilities include validating credentials, performing password spraying, enumerating network shares, executing commands across multiple protocols (SMB, WinRM, LDAP, MSSQL, SSH), and dumping critical credentials (SAM, LSA, NTDS). It directly supports techniques for lateral movement and post-exploitation activities.
