A comprehensive guide for drafting the Related Work section for top-tier networking conferences (e.g., CoNEXT, SIGCOMM). It emphasizes moving beyond simple literature summaries to create a 'delta argument'—clearly defining what the paper contributes over the closest prior work. Guidelines cover covering specific networking 'lanes' (like IMC, NSDI, SIGMETRICS), maintaining double-anonymous citations, and ensuring the contribution is concrete and testable.

A comprehensive guide for researchers deciding the appropriate academic venue for their internet measurement work. It utilizes the 'measurement-first test,' ethical gate checks, and venue routing tables to help determine if a paper belongs at ACM IMC, SIGCOMM, NSDI, or a specialized journal, ensuring the core contribution is properly showcased.

This comprehensive guide helps researchers determine the most appropriate venue for their networking research paper. It distinguishes between major conferences like INFOCOM (broad, analytical/optimization), ACM SIGCOMM (built systems, deployment story), and USENIX NSDI (artifact-heavy systems). Use it to route your work correctly before drafting.

A comprehensive guide for authors preparing accepted academic papers for artifact evaluation at major conferences (e.g., NSDI). It details how to package code, traces, and testbed recipes to ensure permanent public availability, achieve recognition badges (Functionality, Availability, Reproducibility), and meet community award criteria. Learn best practices for reproducibility and structured submission.

This comprehensive guide outlines best practices for designing rigorous and convincing technical evaluations for networked systems. It structures the process by requiring experiments to answer specific questions, advising authors to climb the evidence ladder from synthetic benchmarks to real-world deployment. Key concepts include reporting tail latencies (p99), establishing strong baselines, and maintaining meticulous provenance records to ensure reproducibility.

This comprehensive guide provides expert methodologies for authors writing the 'Related Work' section for top-tier networked systems research papers (e.g., NSDI, SIGCOMM, OSDI). It details the required literature coverage gaps, strategic positioning techniques (e.g., delta by mechanism), academic verification protocols, and double-blind submission rules necessary to ensure the work is academically rigorous and highly competitive.

This guide outlines advanced methodologies for achieving high reproducibility in networked-systems research. It details capturing crucial provenance ledgers—including topology, traffic traces, system configuration, and run details—to ensure that published results are verifiable and not dependent on ephemeral experimental conditions. It emphasizes characterizing inherent variance rather than demanding absolute determinism, providing a rigorous framework for academic publication.

A comprehensive guide to interpreting the structural mechanics of large-scale, multi-deadline academic conferences (like NSDI). It details the difference between acceptance, one-shot revision, and rejection, explaining the strategic implications, associated bans, and the required scope for resubmission. Learn how to decode reviewers' feedback, identify critical baselines, and manage your research workflow across multiple cycles.
