A comprehensive guide to help researchers determine if their Additive Manufacturing (AM) manuscript meets the high scientific rigor required by leading journals. It focuses on shifting the narrative from 'part printing' to process-structure-property relationships, process physics, and advanced qualification methods. This tool helps authors refine their work for optimal journal targeting and submission readiness.

This guide provides comprehensive best practices for ensuring scientific reproducibility in technical papers, particularly for electronics and information processing fields. It covers the critical pillars of documentation: environment setup, data sourcing and preprocessing, full algorithmic disclosure (including pseudo-code and hyperparameters), and robust statistical evaluation. By adopting these standards, authors can transform their work from potentially unverifiable results into credible, verifiable scientific contributions suitable for top-tier journals.

This detailed guide helps authors assess the scientific rigor and scope fit for manuscripts targeting Composites Part B: Engineering. It covers advanced domains like composite mechanics, manufacturing processes, multiscale modeling, and multifunctional materials. It emphasizes that a strong contribution must demonstrate a clear, mechanism-driven advance from material science to structural application, supported by rigorous, quantitative experimental evidence and model validation.

A comprehensive guide for authors targeting the International Journal of Machine Tools and Manufacture (IJMTM). This skill helps assess the fit of a manuscript, ensuring the work elevates beyond simple parameter optimization to provide a deep, mechanistic, and quantitative understanding of manufacturing processes, machine-tool dynamics, and metrology. Essential for framing high-impact scientific contributions.

A comprehensive guide for designing and auditing rigorous experiments for sensing systems and information processing claims. It emphasizes the necessity of measuring performance on real hardware (not simulation), accurately instrumenting ground truth, quantifying energy consumption, latency, and physical footprint, and establishing fair, skeptical baselines. This ensures scientific rigor and reproducibility in research submissions.

A comprehensive guide on achieving scientific reproducibility for complex computer architecture and system simulations. It details how to manage and pin all dependencies—including simulator commit hashes, local patches, workload binaries, hardware states, and post-processing scripts—to ensure that every reported figure and number can be accurately regenerated, regardless of time or environment changes.

This guide assists authors in determining if their manuscript on membranes and separation processes meets the rigorous standards of the Journal of Membrane Science. It emphasizes that the core contribution must be the mechanistic understanding—how the membrane structure governs transport and separation—rather than just reporting separation results. Use this skill for venue selection, manuscript re-framing, and checking against high-level scientific rigor.

This guide details the process of preparing complex research artifacts (simulators, configurations, traces, and scripts) for post-acceptance evaluation, especially for microarchitecture papers. It outlines best practices for achieving ACM badges like 'Available' and 'Reproducible,' focusing on structuring the code base with tiered entry points (smoke, key, full) and handling dependencies, licensed data, and simulation time constraints.
