Execute deep, stealthy red team exercises that emulate real-world sophisticated adversaries. This process maps attacks to the MITRE ATT&CK framework, testing an organization's entire security posture—including detection, incident response, and containment capabilities (Blue Team). It is designed for simulating full attack lifecycles (initial access, lateral movement, exfiltration) to validate security investments and meet regulatory requirements (TIBER-EU, CBEST). Requires executive authorization and defined Rules of Engagement.

This skill provides comprehensive detection strategies for adversaries abusing DCOM objects (e.g., MMC20.Application) to perform stealthy lateral movement (MITRE ATT&CK T1021.003). It details how to correlate Sysmon Event IDs (Process Creation, Network Connection), analyze WMI activity, and monitor RPC traffic on port 135 to identify unauthorized remote command execution chains. Ideal for advanced threat hunting, red teaming, and purple team exercises.

This technique abuses the Active Directory's `msDS-KeyCredentialLink` attribute to inject attacker-controlled public keys (Shadow Credentials). After gaining write access (e.g., via BloodHound), the attacker uses tools like pyWhisker or Certipy to append their key. They then authenticate via PKINIT to recover the target's NT hash, achieving complete account takeover without the disruptive step of a password reset. Ideal for stealthy red-teaming engagements.
