Skill UI

This skill guides researchers to determine if their topic fits the scope of Acta Automatica Sinica (AAS). It provides detailed boundaries for control theory, pattern recognition, robotics, and smart systems, helping authors distinguish their contribution from pure algorithms or system software, and advising on appropriate article type (Review/Paper/Short) to avoid initial rejection.

A comprehensive guide for authors targeting the Annual Computer Security Applications Conference (ACSAC). It helps assess the fit, scope, and required evidence for applied security papers, ensuring the manuscript is properly reframed from academic theory to deployable, operational defenses. Use this tool for venue selection and submission strategy.

This tool guides authors on structuring manuscripts for IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation (TAP). It emphasizes that the core contribution must be in applied electromagnetics, antenna design, or wave propagation theory, requiring a standard evidence chain: sound theory, full-wave simulation, and measured prototype validation. Use it for venue selection and content re-framing.

A comprehensive guide for authors targeting top-tier systems and control journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control (TAC). It helps authors evaluate the fit of their manuscript, transitioning from application-heavy case studies to general, provable theoretical theorems with rigorous mathematical proofs and explicitly stated assumptions. Essential for manuscript re-framing and academic submission readiness.

A comprehensive guide for authors on how to structure the 'Related Work' section for top-tier networking conferences (like INFOCOM). It teaches authors to move beyond simple citation catalogs and instead adopt a 'delta-first' approach, clearly contrasting their work's novelty and unique contribution against the entire breadth of existing networking literature, including systems, theory, and flagships.

A comprehensive guide for researchers aiming to submit manuscripts to the Journal on Communications (JOC). It helps users assess if their topic fits the core communication discipline (theory, wireless, networking, security, signal processing) and distinguishes it from related academic journals. The guide also assists in selecting the appropriate article type and ensuring sufficient innovation and empirical rigor before submission.

This guide helps researchers determine the correct academic venue for their work in parallel and concurrent computing. It clarifies the scope of PPoPP versus related conferences (CGO, PLDI, ASPLOS, HPCA, POPL, etc.) by asking: 'Is the parallelism the point, or is it the setting?' Use this framework to distinguish contributions focused on parallel algorithms, compiler optimization, concurrency theory, or hardware microarchitecture.

A comprehensive guide for authors submitting to high-impact scientific journals. It outlines the essential principles for structuring experiments and presenting evidence, emphasizing claims-evidence matching, fair benchmarking, differentiating result sources (simulation, hardware, theory), and ensuring statistical rigor. Covers best practices across computer science, control, communication, and microelectronics.

This guide assists researchers in determining the optimal venue for their formal verification project. It helps decide whether the work belongs at TACAS (ETAPS) or a sibling conference (like CAV or VMCAI), depending on the emphasis (tool vs. theory), and guides the selection among the four distinct contribution categories (Research, Tool, Case-study, Demonstration).
