Skill UI

Master the complete penetration testing lifecycle, covering all five stages from reconnaissance and scanning to vulnerability analysis using OWASP standards, and advanced exploitation techniques with tools like Metasploit. This skill provides a structured framework for conducting authorized, professional security assessments.

Establishes a repeatable, structured operational process for managing Microsoft Patch Tuesday security updates. The workflow guides users through advisory review, vulnerability triaging (including zero-days), phased testing, and deployment across major platforms (Windows, Azure, Office). Ideal for maturing patch management programs and defining risk-based remediation SLAs.

A comprehensive framework for assessing network security posture. This skill guides the tester through the entire penetration testing lifecycle, from reconnaissance and host discovery (using tools like Nmap) to service enumeration, vulnerability identification (CVEs), and controlled exploitation (Metasploit). It is essential for validating firewall rules, ensuring compliance (e.g., PCI-DSS), and stress-testing critical infrastructure security.

This guide details the exploitation of the Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) ESC1 vulnerability. By leveraging misconfigurations, an attacker can request certificates impersonating high-privileged users (e.g., Domain Admins). The workflow covers AD enumeration, forging certificates with arbitrary Subject Alternative Names (SANs), authenticating via PKINIT, and ultimately escalating domain privileges using tools like mimikatz. Essential for authorized red team and penetration testing.

This comprehensive guide outlines methods to identify and exploit specific IPv6 vulnerabilities, including SLAAC spoofing, Router Advertisement (RA) manipulation, and Neighbor Discovery Protocol (NDP) attacks. It is designed strictly for authorized penetration testing to assess dual-stack security controls, detect unauthorized tunnels (like Teredo or 6to4), and validate network defenses against IPv6-specific threats. Always obtain explicit written authorization before use.

This guide details the detection and exploitation of the critical MS17-010 (EternalBlue) vulnerability in SMBv1. It covers the full red-teaming lifecycle, including vulnerability scanning using Nmap and executing payloads via Metasploit. It is designed for authorized penetration testing and simulated adversary engagements against legacy Windows environments.

A comprehensive guide to using the Metasploit Framework for advanced penetration testing and vulnerability validation. This skill details how to confirm exploitability of identified CVEs, gather post-exploitation evidence, and validate patch remediation effectiveness. It is essential for risk-based vulnerability management and red team exercises, providing proof of real-world impact beyond simple scanner scores.

This skill guides comprehensive Active Directory (AD) security assessment using industry-standard tools like PingCastle, BloodHound, and Purple Knight. It helps identify critical misconfigurations, excessive privileges, weak Kerberos settings, and potential lateral movement paths. Ideal for penetration testing, security audits, and incident response to proactively secure enterprise identity management systems.

A comprehensive toolkit for analyzing ELF binaries to locate memory-corruption vulnerabilities, such as buffer overflows and ROP chains. This skill is vital for authorized penetration testing and CTF challenges, allowing users to evaluate compiler mitigations (ASLR, NX, Canary, PIE) and develop robust proof-of-concept exploits.

A comprehensive solution for performing Operational Technology (OT) vulnerability assessments using the Claroty xDome platform. It automatically discovers assets, correlates vulnerabilities using CVE and ICS-CERT advisories, and calculates risk scores. This method is designed for compliance requirements (e.g., IEC 62443, NERC CIP) and initial asset risk profiling, relying on passive monitoring and safe querying rather than active scanning or penetration testing.

This comprehensive guide details the process of performing authenticated and unauthenticated vulnerability assessments using Tenable Nessus. It covers everything from advanced scan configuration (port discovery, credentialing, plugin setup) to detailed result analysis, including cross-referencing CVEs and prioritizing remediation based on CVSS scores and exploit availability. Ideal for compliance auditing, penetration testing, and maintaining system patch compliance.

Nikto is a powerful, open-source web server and web application scanner designed for comprehensive vulnerability assessment. It tests over 7,000 potentially dangerous files and checks for critical issues like XSS, SQL injection, outdated versions, and misconfigurations across modern web applications. Ideal for security audit, penetration testing, and validating web server security controls.
