This guide meticulously models the rigorous decision-making machinery of top-tier academic conferences, using EuroSys as a detailed example. It covers the two-round submission cycle, the 'Accept/Revise/Reject' outcome logic, double-blind review mechanics, and critical criteria (like deployment plausibility and verifiable fairness) that determine a paper's success. Ideal for researchers and graduate students preparing systems research submissions.

A comprehensive guide for authors responding to 'revise-and-resubmit' decisions, particularly for high-impact journals like ESR. It details the strategic process of addressing reviewer critiques, focusing on comparative design, measurement equivalence, and advanced modeling. Learn how to structure your rebuttal letter, concede points with evidence, or respectfully rebut claims without weakening your core contribution.

Provides rigorous guidelines for designing complex quantitative studies, including cross-national comparisons, longitudinal panels, and multilevel models. It emphasizes identifying mechanisms, assessing measurement equivalence, and defending causal claims against confounders in advanced sociological research.

This comprehensive guide details the rigorous double-blind peer review process at the European Sociological Review (ESR). It helps authors anticipate reviewer critiques on comparative design, quantitative modeling, and theoretical contribution, ensuring the manuscript is structured for success before submission.

A structured guide on translating behavioral or game-theoretic arguments into pre-specified, quantitative, and testable hypotheses for Experimental Economics (ExpEcon) manuscripts. This methodology emphasizes moving beyond informal intuition by defining the experimental game, deriving benchmark predictions, layering competing behavioral accounts, and generating comparative-statics hypotheses that treatments must adjudicate. It is essential for manuscripts aiming to robustly test theory through design.

A comprehensive guide to preparing accountability artifacts for AI research papers, particularly for venues like FAccT. It covers the necessary documentation genres—including datasheets for datasets, model cards for models, and impact assessments—to ensure transparency, verifiability, and accountability regarding claims of fairness and harm mitigation in AI systems. The focus is on making research outputs rigorously traceable and ethically responsible.

This comprehensive guide outlines the critical steps required for authors preparing an accepted paper for ACM FAccT proceedings. It details the transition from anonymous drafts to the final, published 'camera-ready' format, covering mandatory de-anonymization (restoring author details and adding Positionality statements), switching to the specific ACM metadata standards (ORCID, CCS concepts), completing required documentation (datasheets/model cards), and adhering to complex publication timelines and rights requirements.

A comprehensive guide for establishing academic rigor in AI and data science research. It outlines best practices for achieving reproducibility, emphasizing the mandatory release and documentation of raw data, trained models, and qualitative findings. Key tools include datasheets, model cards, and detailed provenance logging, ensuring that research claims are fully auditable and consistent.

This guide provides a comprehensive model of the academic review process used at FAccT. It details the interdisciplinary nature of the review panel (CS, law, social science), the OpenReview workflow, and the strategic implications of the 'Accept/Revise/Reject' decision set. It guides authors on navigating the stages, including rebuttals and revise-and-resubmissions.

This comprehensive guide outlines best practices for achieving rigorous scientific reproducibility, especially for research involving storage systems and hardware dependencies. It mandates documenting not only the code but also the specific device models, firmware versions, operating states, and full measurement protocols to ensure verifiable results by peer readers.

A comprehensive guide modeling the USENIX FAST conference submission review pipeline. It details the double-blind review process, the author-response period, and clarifies the four distinct outcomes (Accept, Shepherding, One-shot Revision, Reject). This resource helps authors understand the strategic implications of the review stages, especially how a one-shot revision differs from standard journal revisions, providing actionable advice for maximizing submission chances.

A comprehensive guide for researchers ensuring the highest level of open-science reproducibility for academic submissions (e.g., FSE). It details how to map every research claim (numbers, techniques) to verifiable evidence, pin technical provenance (SHAs, model IDs), manage data availability statements, and achieve defined degrees of reproducibility (Turnkey, Scripted).
