Skill UI

This comprehensive routing skill guides researchers in selecting the optimal journal venue for natural-science, clinical, or physical manuscripts. It classifies the work based on discipline, advance type (e.g., mechanism, discovery), evidence shape (e.g., clinical trial, simulation), and audience breadth. It helps optimize the manuscript's fit and submission chances across hundreds of leading scientific journals.

This skill provides a comprehensive guide for authors targeting the high-level academic journal, *Finance and Trade Economics*. It helps users assess if their manuscript's scope, methodology, and core contribution align with the journal's specific focus areas (e.g., fiscal policy, budget governance, international trade). It outlines strict submission formats, common rejection pitfalls, and alternative journal suggestions, ensuring academic rigor and proper positioning.

This guide instructs authors on crafting highly targeted and convincing robustness sections for empirical finance papers. Instead of merely adding volume, it teaches the concept of 'subtraction, then precision'—identifying specific alternative explanations (threats) a referee might raise (e.g., reverse causality, omitted variables) and selecting the minimal, most effective check to neutralize each threat. This aligns with the philosophy of top-tier financial journals that value new ideas over superficial testing.

Provides comprehensive guidelines for creating durable, verifiable evidence objects (artifacts) for theoretical computer science papers. It details best practices for managing proofs, certificates, checker code, and version histories across different publication formats (arXiv, IEEE Xplore) to ensure long-term academic credibility and reproducibility.

A comprehensive guide for revising empirical papers submitted to top-tier Software Engineering conferences (like FSE). This framework emphasizes structuring the paper around a clear SE contribution, treating research questions as contracts, backing every claim with proportional evidence, and rigorously arguing threats to validity, rather than merely listing them. It ensures the paper maintains maximum academic rigor and focus.

Provides comprehensive guidelines for designing scientific exhibits, including figures, tables, maps, and Highlights, for interdisciplinary, policy-relevant manuscripts. It emphasizes making data self-contained, focusing on the human/policy dimensions rather than just biophysical trends, and ensuring accessibility across various formats (grayscale, print).

Convert genomic intervals between formats like BED, VCF, and GFF, handling 0-based and 1-based conventions. Normalize variants, align indels, and detect assembly mismatches to prevent analysis errors. Essential for bioinformatics pipelines requiring precise coordinate mapping across different genome builds and file types.

This guide details the rigorous process of condensing highly technical papers, especially in signal processing, into extremely constrained formats (e.g., 4-page conference submissions). It teaches structure, emphasizing the immediate presentation of the core signal-processing contribution, the mechanism, and task-matched metrics on the first page, ensuring the argument survives review by deep subfield experts.

A comprehensive guide for designing, executing, and reporting high-stakes research studies in Software Engineering (SE), tailored to meet the stringent standards of top academic conferences like ICSE. It covers best practices for evidence-claim matching, advanced statistical rigor (non-parametric tests, effect sizes), handling AI model ablations, and implementing threats-driven design to ensure findings are robust, valid, and maximally reproducible.

This guide provides detailed structuring advice for writing empirical software engineering (SE) research papers for top-tier conferences like ICSE. It focuses on adopting the required academic rigor, including using Research Questions (RQs) as the core skeleton, mastering the 'Threats to Validity' section, and calibrating claims for verifiability. Learn how to structure the abstract, compress content into a 10-page limit, and address reviewer expectations in the SE community.

This guide provides stringent rules and structural advice for authors tackling academic papers, particularly in the domain of software maintenance and evolution. It emphasizes leading with the maintenance problem, stating research questions as contractual measurements, pairing every claim with proportional evidence, and rigorously discussing threats to validity. Use this when revising academic submissions to ensure maximum impact and technical rigor for the field.

This guide provides comprehensive strategic advice for authors targeting the IEEE Visualization Conference (IEEE VIS). It covers conference positioning, scope fitting, required evidence (visual encoding, evaluation), and helps authors re-frame their work from journal or arXiv formats into a selective, high-impact conference narrative. Use it when determining if a research manuscript is appropriate for IEEE VIS.
