This tool helps refine academic survey articles to adopt the authoritative and accessible "JEL voice." It focuses on improving prose structure, ensuring the narrative flows for non-specialist economists, and structuring the introduction and abstract according to academic conventions. It transforms summary writing into synthesis dialogue, making complex topics engaging for a broad audience.

This guide helps writers structure academic syntheses to maintain rigorous objectivity, ensuring that the work summarizes the full spectrum of competing views rather than advocating for a single position. It details how to properly 'steelman' opposing arguments, weigh evidence impartially, separate positive findings from normative policy judgment, and honestly disclose areas of uncertainty.

A guide on how to present highly convincing empirical evidence in academic writing, especially in economics, when regression tables or complex math are limited. This skill teaches readers to translate statistical findings into clear, impactful prose by focusing on magnitude in plain units, synthesizing the body of evidence, defining ranges of precision, and maintaining intellectual honesty.

This guide helps writers polish academic manuscripts to conform to the engaging, clear, and authoritative style of the Journal of Economic Perspectives (JEP). Focuses on transforming dense, passive, jargon-heavy prose into plain-language narratives suitable for a broad, non-specialist academic audience. Ideal for refining abstracts, opening paragraphs, and improving overall voice structure.

A comprehensive style guide designed for drafting and polishing rigorous economic theory manuscripts following the standards of the Journal of Economic Theory (JET). It emphasizes the theorem-proof structure, strict notation discipline, proper LaTeX formatting (elsarticle), and adherence to academic rigor, ensuring clarity for expert reviewers.

A comprehensive guide for refining academic finance manuscripts to meet the high standards of top journals like the Journal of Finance (JF). It teaches authors how to structure introductions to immediately convey the research question, key finding, and economic magnitude on page one, ensuring accessibility for a general finance audience while maintaining technical precision.

This guide instructs users on refining academic prose to meet the high standards of top-tier financial economics journals, such as JFE. It focuses on structural discipline, ensuring the introduction clearly presents the question, design, and headline results. It also enforces linguistic precision by advising on calibrated verbs, active voice usage, stating economic magnitudes, and eliminating hedging or overclaiming.

This workflow router guides authors through the complex lifecycle of submitting a paper to the Journal of Financial Intermediation (JFI). It coordinates the entire academic writing process, determining the optimal sequence of skills based on whether the contribution is theory-led or empirics-led. It is designed to help authors structure their research, focusing on methodological rigor (e.g., Gate B checks) before drafting the final prose.

A comprehensive guide for authors writing empirical papers (especially in finance/economics). It teaches the critical skill of separating load-bearing claims (must be in the main text) from exhaustive supporting evidence (best placed in the Internet Appendix). It details how to build a fully reproducible package, including data lineage, codebooks, and documenting proprietary data access paths.

A specialized guide for polishing academic manuscripts in financial microstructure, particularly for submissions to top journals like JFM. It teaches authors how to shift from general finance narratives to precise, technically detailed writing that focuses on market mechanics, institutional rules, and quantifying results in market units (e.g., basis points, depth). Ideal for late-stage drafting to ensure maximum impact and credibility.

This skill adapts scholarly drafts to the specific, rigorous style of the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis (JFQA). It enforces quantitative prose, strict formatting (e.g., 100-word abstract, TNR 12pt, double-spacing), and structural rules necessary for high-impact finance submissions. Use it to polish content, ensure precision, and guarantee compliance with top academic journal standards.

This skill acts as a sophisticated router for manuscripts aiming for the Journal of Human Resources (JHR). It does not replace specialized analysis skills but guides the user through the entire academic writing lifecycle—from initial topic selection and literature positioning to advanced data analysis, contribution framing, and final submission/rebuttal strategies. It is designed to diagnose workflow bottlenecks when a researcher asks, "What should I do next?"
