This guide helps researchers determine the optimal publication venue for their econometrics research. It provides detailed rules for assessing whether a paper's contribution is best suited for The Econometrics Journal (EctJ), a general econometrics journal, a theory journal, or a specific field journal. It emphasizes distinguishing between methods with leading-case applied value, purely theoretical proofs, and general empirical findings to improve publication chances.

This skill is a comprehensive fit assessment tool for authors submitting applied corporate finance manuscripts to the Financial Management journal. It guides users on the journal's specific scope, required empirical rigor, ideal article structure, and common desk-reject themes. It helps authors position their work for maximum relevance to both academics and industry practitioners.

A comprehensive guide for researchers submitting papers to applied finance journals. It teaches how to 'red-team' your manuscript by proactively anticipating and strengthening defenses against the four most common fatal objections: lack of interest, inappropriate scope, weak identification, and unstated practical implication. Focuses on framing the contribution and optimizing the cover letter.

This router guides researchers through the entire lifecycle of submitting a manuscript to the Financial Management (FM) journal. It is designed to diagnose the current bottleneck and sequence the specialized steps needed, covering everything from initial topic selection and literature positioning to empirical design, writing refinement, and rebuttal letter strategies. It ensures the work meets the high standards of applied finance journals.

This comprehensive guide outlines the strict requirements and protocols for submitting papers to the IEEE International Conference on Data Mining (ICDM). It details the crucial differences between the Research and Applied tracks, emphasizing the triple-blind anonymity regime. Key points include adhering to the strict 10-page IEEE format (including references and appendices), avoiding identity leaks in the body or metadata, and understanding the single, non-negotiable submission deadline. Failure to follow these guidelines results in automatic rejection.

This guide assists researchers in determining the best fit for their data mining research project. It compares the contribution against major conferences (ICDM, KDD, SDM, etc.) and helps decide the appropriate track (Research, Applied, Blue Sky) based on the nature of the mechanism, evidence, and intended scope for optimal academic impact.

This tool guides authors on structuring manuscripts for IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation (TAP). It emphasizes that the core contribution must be in applied electromagnetics, antenna design, or wave propagation theory, requiring a standard evidence chain: sound theory, full-wave simulation, and measured prototype validation. Use it for venue selection and content re-framing.

A comprehensive guide for authors targeting IEEE Transactions on Information Theory. It assesses whether a manuscript meets the journal's extremely high theoretical standards, focusing on theorem-driven proofs, matching achievability and converse arguments, and fundamental information-theoretic limits (e.g., channel capacity, rate-distortion). Ideal for authors needing a fit check or re-framing applied results into foundational theory.

This guide helps researchers determine the optimal conference or journal venue for their software engineering contribution. It specifically addresses whether the core of the work is a testing or analysis technique evaluated on real subjects (ISSTA), or if it fits better within broader Software Engineering (ICSE/FSE), formal verification (PLDI/CAV), or applied domains.

This guide helps authors structure and sharpen the core contribution of an empirical paper for applied econometrics journals. It emphasizes shifting focus from pure theory to replicable findings derived from real data, ensuring claims are properly calibrated, and optimizing the 100-word summary for maximum impact.

This guide details the rigorous, reproducible empirical strategies required to identify causal parameters in applied econometrics, meeting high standards (e.g., JAE). It covers various designs—including DID, IV, panel data, and time-series—and mandates that every assumption and diagnostic test must be explicitly stated, tested, and reproducible using deposited code/data.

This guide helps researchers structure the literature review for applied econometrics papers targeting the Journal of Applied Econometrics (JAE). It emphasizes moving beyond simple literature surveys by creating an "empirical audit trail." Users must position their work across method lineage, applied precedent, and engagement with the journal's archived data and prior replicable results, ensuring the contribution is an advance through application or replication.
