Skill UI

This skill provides a rigorous framework for assessing whether a scholarly manuscript meets the exceptionally high theoretical and conceptual standards of Administrative Science Quarterly (ASQ). It guides authors on identifying the core theoretical contribution, evaluating the required research craft (qualitative or quantitative), and restructuring the paper to align with the sociology of organizations discourse, moving beyond mere empirical findings.

This tool guides authors on whether their manuscript fits the scope of Advanced Functional Materials. It emphasizes the critical structure-function-application chain, covering highly advanced fields such as optoelectronics, biomedical devices, and soft robotics. It provides criteria for methodology, required evidence, and journal-specific house style.

This comprehensive skill provides in-depth guidance for authors targeting Advanced Materials. It covers journal positioning, scope fit (e.g., soft matter, 2D materials, energy), the required depth of evidence (methodology and characterization), and specific house style rules. Use this to re-frame your manuscript and ensure it meets the high standards for performance claims and scientific rigor expected by top-tier materials journals.

This guide helps authors structure and write a highly persuasive cover letter for advanced materials submissions. Its purpose is to proactively convince the journal editor that the work represents a genuine, broad-impact scientific advance, rather than just incremental optimization. It focuses on arguing the impact case, naming specific beneficiary communities, and structuring the argument for maximum editorial visibility.

This guide helps authors tailor their manuscript to fit the specific page budget of Advanced Materials, whether it is classified as a Communication or a full Research Article. It details how to manage the length budget by coordinating text and visual display items (figures, tables) against the journal's strict typesetting page limits, ensuring the core scientific evidence remains intact while removing padding and secondary data.

A comprehensive guide for authors submitting high-impact materials research. It details how to select expert referees (covering synthesis, device, and application domains) and provides actionable strategies to pre-empt common reviewer objections—such as claims of incremental advance, insufficient characterization, or weak benchmarking—thereby strengthening the manuscript's overall rigor and maximizing publication success.

A comprehensive guide for structuring high-impact scientific papers in advanced materials. It teaches authors how to build a cohesive narrative around a single central scientific advance, emphasizing the crucial causal chain: Structure → Property → Function. It also provides rules for optimizing the opening paragraph to serve as a self-contained abstract.

A comprehensive guide for authors responding to reviewer reports and editor decisions (major/minor revision, rejection). It details how to structure a point-by-point rebuttal letter, what new data (e.g., stability, benchmarking) must be added, and how to ensure the revised manuscript maintains a clear scientific advance while adhering to publication guidelines.

This comprehensive preflight checklist guides authors through the final steps before submitting an Advanced Materials manuscript to Wiley. It verifies critical aspects including article type adherence, figure resolution, separate Supporting Information handling, metadata completion (ORCID, funding), and overall manuscript integrity. Use this tool as the last gate check to ensure the submission meets all journal requirements and minimizes desk rejection risks.

This guide teaches authors how to structure scientific manuscripts by correctly partitioning core findings, decisive evidence, and the main narrative into the body text, while moving exhaustive datasets, full protocols, and secondary characterization into the Supporting Information (SI). It ensures the main paper is stand-alone and convincing.

This skill acts as a comprehensive workflow router for writing Advanced Materials (Adv. Mater.) manuscripts. It guides authors through the entire publishing lifecycle—from initial scope assessment to final submission and revision. It helps diagnose bottlenecks related to scientific advance, characterization strength, figure quality, and adherence to journal format, ensuring the manuscript is robust and ready for publication.

This guide provides rigorous standards for polishing scientific prose for high-impact materials journals. It focuses on improving narrative flow by emphasizing the structure-property-function argument, enforcing concision, standardizing materials nomenclature and units (SI), and eliminating hype-word inflation. Ideal for authors needing to transition a raw scientific draft into a polished, publishable manuscript.
