Skill UI

A comprehensive tool for detecting critical API security vulnerabilities, including injection, broken authentication (BOLA), excessive data exposure, and mass assignment. It audits endpoints against the OWASP API Security Top 10 standards by analyzing source code, middleware chains, and request validation logic. Ideal for pre-deployment security gates, CI/CD integration, and compliance audits.

This tool parses API Gateway access logs from various providers (AWS, Kong, Nginx). It performs statistical analysis using pandas to detect critical security threats such as Broken Object Level Authorization (BOLA/IDOR), credential stuffing, rate limit bypass attempts, and injection vulnerabilities. Ideal for SOC analysts or security engineers investigating API abuse and building advanced threat detection rules.

A comprehensive utility designed to assess the security posture of modern APIs, including REST, GraphQL, and gRPC. It strictly follows the OWASP API Security Top 10 framework, testing for critical vulnerabilities such as Broken Object/Function Level Authorization (BOLA/BFLA), SQL/NoSQL injection flaws, and weaknesses in authentication mechanisms like JWT manipulation. Essential for security engineers and penetration testers validating complex microservice architectures and API gateways.

This skill details methods and SIEM rules to detect API enumeration attacks, including BOLA and IDOR. It identifies patterns such as sequential ID iteration, parameter tampering, and mixed authorization failure responses (401/403). Use this guide for threat hunting, security incident investigation, and hardening API access control monitoring.

A comprehensive guide for performing structured API security testing using Postman. It covers critical OWASP API Security Top 10 vulnerabilities, including BOLA, authentication bypass, and injection flaws. Ideal for building repeatable security regression tests, simulating multi-role user access, and integrating automated validation into CI/CD pipelines via Newman and OWASP ZAP.

A comprehensive guide for performing authorized security assessments on GraphQL APIs. This skill covers key areas such as endpoint discovery, schema introspection, testing for authorization flaws (BOLA/BFLA), injection vulnerabilities (SQL/NoSQL), and denial-of-service risks. Essential for penetration testers and bug bounty researchers targeting modern web applications.

A specialized skill for assessing REST and GraphQL APIs against Broken Object Level Authorization (BOLA/IDOR), a critical vulnerability highlighted by OWASP API1:2023. This process involves intercepting API calls, identifying object identifiers (numeric IDs, UUIDs, slugs), and systematically substituting these IDs with those belonging to other users or tenants. It verifies whether the API server correctly enforces per-object authorization checks, mitigating risks of horizontal privilege escalation and unauthorized data access in multi-tenant environments.

A comprehensive guide for systematically assessing modern API endpoints (REST, GraphQL, gRPC) against the OWASP API Security Top 10 (2023). This workflow covers identifying endpoints, testing for Broken Object Level Authorization (BOLA/IDOR), assessing broken authentication, and validating rate limiting. Use this during authorized penetration tests or before production deployment to ensure robust API security.

This comprehensive playbook guides security testers through deep API authorization checks, focusing specifically on BOLA (Broken Object Level Authorization) and BFLA (Broken Function Level Authorization). Use this skill to test scenarios where object identifiers, nested resources, or privileged functions are exposed, ensuring thorough checks for mass assignment and privilege escalation.

This skill serves as the central entry point for comprehensive API security testing. It guides testers to systematically categorize and prioritize potential vulnerabilities by focusing on core dimensions such as documentation review (Recon), object-level authorization (BOLA), token integrity (JWT), and complex data structures (GraphQL/Hidden Params). Use this as the initial step when assessing a new REST or GraphQL endpoint.

An expert playbook for systematically testing Insecure Direct Object References (IDOR) and Broken Object/Function Level Authorization (BOLA/BFLA). This guide covers finding object identifiers across all request vectors (URL, body, headers, cookies), implementing A-B testing methodologies, identifying various ID patterns, and executing horizontal or vertical privilege escalation attacks. Essential for deep API security auditing.

A comprehensive guide for developers working with Supabase. Covers best practices for database interaction, robust authorization using Row Level Security (RLS), secure authentication (Auth), and integrating various Supabase products (Storage, Realtime, Edge Functions). Essential for preventing common security vulnerabilities like BOLA/IDOR and ensuring data integrity across your application stack.
