A guide for researchers on transforming diverse experimental results into a single, coherent, and highly focused molecular narrative. It teaches the structure required for top-tier molecular biology publications, emphasizing the link between the molecular actor, the proven mechanism, and the physiological consequence. Essential for shifting the focus from a 'catalog of techniques' to a unified, powerful scientific argument.

A comprehensive guide for authors on how to strategically address demanding peer reviews, particularly for highly rigorous molecular biology journals. It covers triage methods (Do, Defend, Defer), prioritizing new experiments based on impact and feasibility, and structuring a point-by-point response letter that is respectful, evidence-led, and mechanistically airtight.

A comprehensive guide on structuring and writing high-impact scientific summaries, specifically modeled after the standards of journals like Molecular Cell. This skill teaches how to transform raw research findings into a single, polished, unstructured paragraph (~150 words). The summary must explicitly name the molecular mechanism, provide quantified evidence, establish the biological context, and articulate the physiological significance, ensuring the writing is clear for a specialized molecular biology readership.

This guide functions as a sophisticated workflow router for authors targeting submission to Molecular Cell. It diagnoses the current stage of a manuscript (e.g., missing data, weak mechanism, need for rebuttal) and recommends the precise next specialized skill needed to address bottlenecks. It ensures the manuscript meets the high bar of mechanistic depth and orthogonal validation required by top-tier molecular biology journals.

This skill assesses the suitability and required rigor of a manuscript for the Molecular Biology and Evolution journal. It provides comprehensive guidelines covering specific scopes (e.g., population genetics, phylogenetics, positive selection), necessary methodological standards (including uncertainty quantification and addressing selection bias), and structural requirements for high-impact submissions in molecular evolution and genomics.

This comprehensive guide assists authors in determining if their molecular biology manuscript is optimally suited for Molecular Cell. It scrutinizes the necessary depth of mechanistic resolution, the required structural or biochemical evidence, and adherence to rigorous academic standards. It covers journal positioning, scope fitting (e.g., transcription, chromatin), and mandatory methodological components like STAR Methods and data deposition, ensuring authors meet the journal's high expectations.

This comprehensive skill guides authors on whether their enabling technology, platform, or method is suitable for Nature Biotechnology. It analyses the journal's specific focus on translational potential, broad applied impact, and industrial relevance. It covers best practices for advanced topics including genome editing, synthetic biology, biomanufacturing, and AI applications, emphasizing the requirement for robust in vivo proof and comprehensive benchmarking.

A comprehensive guide for authors targeting Nature Cell Biology. It details the journal's scope, focusing on mechanistic advances in cell organization, communication, and signaling (e.g., cytoskeleton, organelle biology). It outlines the rigorous method and evidence bar, emphasizing the need for conceptual advancements, quantitative imaging, and thorough mechanistic dissection for high-impact submissions.

This skill is a comprehensive guide for evaluating whether a manuscript in ecology or evolutionary biology is appropriately positioned for Nature Ecology & Evolution. It helps authors check for conceptual novelty, methodological rigor (e.g., macroecology, phylogenetics), and broad scientific significance. Use this tool when determining the best target journal or restructuring the narrative to emphasize general, impactful scientific advances.

A comprehensive tool designed for researchers preparing manuscripts in microbiology or microbial ecology for Nature Microbiology. It assesses the required conceptual advance, mandatory mechanistic depth, and adherence to rigorous scientific standards across scope, methodology, and house style. Use this guide to determine if your work meets the journal's high bar and re-frame your arguments for maximum impact.

This skill helps authors assess if their structural or molecular biology manuscript meets the high standards of Nature Structural & Molecular Biology. It guides manuscript framing, required evidence (e.g., high-resolution structures, functional assays), and adherence to the journal's strict guidelines. The core focus is ensuring that the biological mechanism, not just the structure obtained, is the primary finding.

This skill guides authors on assessing the suitability of their general biology manuscript for PLOS Biology. It covers the journal's high standards for scientific rigor, data availability, mandatory reporting guidelines (e.g., ARRIVE, CONSORT), and the structure of a plain-language Author Summary. Use this tool for venue selection and optimizing your submission to maximize publication chances.
