Skill UI

This comprehensive skill guides authors through evaluating whether their chemistry manuscript meets the high standards for ACS Central Science. It assesses the work's central importance, broad scientific reach, and technical rigor across chemical subfields and adjacent disciplines (e.g., biology, materials, energy). It covers journal positioning, required evidence standards, structural guidelines, and reframing the narrative for maximum impact.

This skill provides a comprehensive pre-submission checklist for manuscripts targeting Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics (ACP), an EGU journal. It details the journal's scope—covering aerosols, clouds, chemistry, and dynamics—and outlines the rigorous standards required, including open-access policies, mandatory FAIR data practices, detailed methodological transparency, and preparation for interactive public peer review. Use this guide to assess the fit and completeness of your scientific work.

This guide assists researchers in elevating foundational chemical discoveries beyond subfield-specific details. It provides comprehensive advice on re-framing manuscripts to meet the high, cross-disciplinary impact standards required by flagship journals like Chem. Key areas covered include connecting findings to global challenges (e.g., energy, sustainability, medicine), structuring the narrative, and adhering to rigorous evidence and style requirements.

This skill provides comprehensive guidance for authors writing critical, authoritative reviews targeting Coordination Chemistry Reviews (CCR). It details the required scope, mandatory synthesis level, and specific house style expectations concerning advanced topics such as MOFs, coordination catalysis, and bioinorganic chemistry. Use it to assess topic fit, structure a manuscript, and re-frame work for submission to this specialized journal.

This skill guides authors on submitting manuscripts to Earth and Planetary Science Letters (EPSL). It evaluates whether quantitative research in geochemistry, geophysics, or planetary science presents a generalizable process or mechanism of broad scientific interest, adhering to Elsevier's rigorous house style and data policies. Use it as a fit/venue-selection tool for re-framing specialized regional studies into broadly relevant scientific mechanisms.

This comprehensive guide assists researchers targeting Environmental Science & Technology (ES&T) submissions. It provides detailed heuristics on journal positioning, scope fit, required mechanistic rigor, data presentation standards, and structural elements. Use this checklist to re-frame and strengthen your manuscript before submission, ensuring alignment with the journal's high standards in environmental chemistry, green engineering, and environmental science.

This guide provides detailed reporting norms for reducing and analyzing complex Earth and Planetary Science Letters (EPSL) data, specifically focusing on isotope geochemistry and geochronology. It mandates full uncertainty budgeting, proper statistical interpretation (e.g., MSWD, weighted means), and thorough model diagnostics to ensure results are scientifically defensible and reproducible.

This guide instructs authors on how to craft a robust, cross-disciplinary gap statement for high-level earth science journals. It teaches that a paper's contribution must be framed by triangulating evidence across multiple sub-fields (geochemistry, geophysics, geodynamics, etc.) and competing hypotheses, rather than focusing solely on a single methodological community.

This guide teaches authors how to strategically position their research contribution within the highly multidisciplinary scope of Environmental Science & Technology (ES&T). It emphasizes framing the knowledge gap as a process, attribution, or mechanistic question, requiring engagement across adjacent fields like chemistry, engineering, toxicology, and policy, thereby ensuring novelty and depth for review panels.

This comprehensive guide outlines the high standards and scope required for publishing in Food Chemistry. It emphasizes rigorous analytical chemistry, detailed method validation (LOD/LOQ, precision), quantified compositional results, and strong chemical mechanism interpretation. Use this tool to assess whether your manuscript meets the necessary scientific rigor for this specialized journal.

This guide helps authors determine if their chemistry manuscript meets the high standards of JACS Au. It evaluates the scope, required scientific rigor, evidence completeness, and structural requirements for submission to this highly selective, gold open-access journal.

A comprehensive guide detailing the stringent standards and best practices for creating high-quality scientific figures for chemistry journals, specifically following the guidelines of the Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS). Covers everything from reaction schemes and mechanism diagrams to NMR/IR spectra, crystal structures, and creating impactful Table of Contents (TOC) graphics, ensuring clarity, consistency, and adherence to academic publishing conventions.
