Skill UI

This module converts diverse clinical inputs—including scanned images, faxes, CSV/TSV exports, and C-CDA XML—into a normalized, clean text format (`ExtractedDocument`). It supports on-device OCR (Tesseract/PaddleOCR) and structured redaction for tables. It is the crucial first stage for feeding de-identification and Named Entity Recognition (NER) pipelines.

This skill manages the loading and efficient caching of OpenMed clinical/biomedical Named Entity Recognition (NER) models. Models are downloaded once from the Hugging Face Hub, enabling full offline operation afterward. It supports model reuse across multiple calls, configuring cache directories, specifying devices (CPU/GPU), and handling various model identifiers (registry keys, full HF IDs, or local paths).

This skill maps free-text laboratory and clinical observation names to standardized LOINC codes. It resolves ambiguous terms by considering the full six-axis model: Component, Property, Time, System (specimen), Scale, and Method. It integrates with FHIR terminology services to ensure accuracy, supporting US Core Laboratory Results and UCUM units.

This skill maps clinical concept spans (disorders, anatomy, procedures, etc.) extracted by OpenMed to SNOMED CT concept IDs (SCTID). It performs complex, out-of-process terminology resolution using standard FHIR R4 endpoints ($lookup, $translate, ValueSet/$expand) against a user-supplied, licensed terminology server (e.g., Ontoserver, UTS). Ideal for generating rich, hierarchy-aware clinical codes, performing subsumption queries (ECL), or translating codes between clinical standards (like ICD-10 to SNOMED CT).

This skill standardizes free-text medication mentions extracted by OpenMed to RxNorm RxCUIs using the public RxNav API. It resolves complex relationships between brand names, generic ingredients, strengths, and dose forms, providing a stable, canonical code. Ideal for clinical interoperability, data analytics, de-duplication, and building US Core Medication resources.

This skill parses standardized C-CDA/CCD XML clinical documents exported from EHRs. It extracts both human-readable section narrative text and coded entries, mapping them by LOINC codes and template IDs. It is essential for preparing clinical free-text data for subsequent NLP analysis and supports XML-aware de-identification while preserving document structure.

This skill decodes complex pipe-delimited HL7 v2.x messages (including ADT, ORU, MDM) into structured segments and fields. It is essential for ingesting HL7 feeds from interface engines, allowing users to surface embedded clinical narratives (OBX-5 and NTE-3) for subsequent Natural Language Processing (NLP) analysis. It also provides segment-aware de-identification capabilities to redact PHI while preserving the native HL7 message structure.

This skill processes clinical text to interpret laboratory results. It parses reference ranges (e.g., "135-145", "<5") and derives structured abnormal flags (low, normal, high, critical) for a given numeric value. It is unit-agnostic and respects explicit flags provided by the originating lab, making it crucial for structured clinical data extraction and interpretation workflows.

This skill parses complex, free-text clinical trial eligibility criteria from sources like ClinicalTrials.gov into structured, machine-readable rules. It then evaluates these criteria against a comprehensive patient profile (derived from OpenMed data) to determine potential eligibility. The output provides an explainable verdict (eligible, ineligible, or unknown) for every criterion, serving as a critical decision support tool for clinicians and researchers.

Implements GDPR-compliant pseudonymization for sensitive personal or clinical data from EU residents. Unlike full anonymization, this method creates a reversible mapping key, which must be stored separately and securely. This process allows for controlled re-linkage (e.g., for Subject Access Requests or longitudinal care) while maintaining GDPR Article 4(5) compliance by ensuring the linkage key is kept separate from the working data.

This skill connects extracted drug entities with authoritative regulatory facts from the public OpenFDA API. It retrieves Structured Product Labeling (SPL) data, NDC package codes, approved indications, boxed warnings, and current recall/enforcement status. It is essential for enriching drug profiles, providing regulatory context, and supporting unexpectedness checks. Note: This skill provides information, not clinical decision support.

This skill facilitates the crucial grounding step for clinical coding by interacting with external FHIR terminology servers. It supports core operations such as `$validate-code`, `$expand` (for ValueSets), `$lookup`, and `$translate` (ConceptMaps). It ensures that raw text spans are converted into validated, coded `CodeableConcept` resources using industry standards like SNOMED CT, LOINC, and ICD-10, maintaining interoperability.
