Skill UI

This comprehensive skill assists authors in evaluating the suitability and optimal framing of their computer science manuscript for the International Conference on Discovery Science. It provides deep, venue-specific guidance on required evidence, scope vocabulary (e.g., automated discovery, explainable patterns), and structural adjustments needed to emphasize the scientific discovery process, rather than just predictive results. Essential for optimizing high-level conference submission strategy.

A comprehensive guide for authors targeting the International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR). This skill helps evaluate if a manuscript fits the venue's scope, covering core topics like pattern recognition, computer vision, biometrics, and machine learning. It details necessary framing, evidence requirements (e.g., ablations, limitations), and how to differentiate the work from similar top-tier conferences (e.g., CVPR, ICML).

This guide helps authors strategically position their computer science manuscript for the International Conference on Theory and Applications of Satisfiability Testing (SAT). It covers core topics including MaxSAT, SMT interfaces, and proof complexity, advising on necessary evidence, proper framing, and aligning the contribution with the specific requirements of this highly specialized venue.

A comprehensive guide for authors submitting computer architecture papers to ISCA. It details the scope fit, required evidence (simulation or hardware), effective framing strategies, and provides comparisons with similar top-tier venues (like MICRO, HPCA). It helps authors refine their manuscript to meet the rigorous standards of a flagship conference.

This guide provides rigorous guidelines for structuring and validating experimental results in computer architecture papers. It covers essential aspects like declaring simulation methodology contracts, ensuring result reproducibility through manifest files, selecting representative workloads, and performing detailed attribution and sensitivity analyses to distinguish true architectural gains from modeling artifacts.

A comprehensive guide on achieving scientific reproducibility for complex computer architecture and system simulations. It details how to manage and pin all dependencies—including simulator commit hashes, local patches, workload binaries, hardware states, and post-processing scripts—to ensure that every reported figure and number can be accurately regenerated, regardless of time or environment changes.

This guide provides expert advice on positioning research papers for top-tier computer architecture conferences (e.g., ISCA, MICRO, ASPLOS). It teaches authors how to identify the 'center-of-gravity' of their novelty—whether it lies in the hardware organization, the hardware/software contract, or the software layer alone—to maximize review acceptance chances and successfully navigate the competitive academic publication landscape.

A comprehensive guide detailing the specific conventions required for submitting high-quality, data-driven papers in computer architecture to top-tier conferences like ISCA. It covers structuring the core argument around a single insight, developing measured motivation sections, describing mechanisms with checkable precision, and calibrating quantitative claims with empirical data and instruments. Essential for academic research communication in hardware design.

A guide for authors submitting to theoretical computer science venues (ITCS). It strictly defines what constitutes valid evidence for a mathematical claim, emphasizing that complete proofs are paramount. The guidelines detail how to use worked examples, separating objects, and appropriately scoped computations, while strongly advising against using empirical benchmarks or performance metrics.

This guide outlines the standards for making pure theoretical claims independently verifiable. It demands complete, self-contained proofs for all central lemmas, explicit definitions for every symbol, and precise citation for all borrowed results. It ensures that the submitted paper, the full preprint version, and the mathematical arguments are perfectly consistent, addressing the highest level of academic rigor in theoretical computer science.

This guide helps researchers navigate the complex landscape of theoretical computer science conferences. It explains the crucial distinction between 'conceptual novelty' (favored by ITCS) and 'deep technical results' (favored by STOC/FOCS). Use this to determine if your research contribution is a new idea, model, or connection, or if it is the deepest, most polished theorem on an established problem.

A comprehensive guide for authors preparing artifacts (code, data, models, etc.) for submission to the Journal of Computer-Aided Design & Computer Graphics (JCAD&CG). It details best practices for ensuring research reproducibility, writing honest availability statements, and managing artifacts during the double-blind review process, focusing on ethical standards regardless of specific journal policy.
