This guide offers advanced methodological advice for structuring the 'Related Work' section for top-tier theoretical computer science conferences (like FOCS). It teaches researchers how to treat research history as 'lineage engineering,' requiring precise citation of specific preprints (arXiv version pinning), distinguishing between conference and journal versions, and transparently addressing concurrent results. This ensures the bibliography is rigorous, consistent, and withstands expert review.

A comprehensive methodology guide for achieving maximum checkability in theoretical computer science proofs, especially for high-stakes academic venues like FOCS. It outlines five critical practices: maintaining a hypothesis ledger, freezing theorem statements across all document versions, auditing external theorems, providing certificates for computed steps, and handling errata formally. This ensures proofs withstand intense academic scrutiny.

This guide provides a deep dive into the rigorous FOCS (Foundations of Computer Science) review process. It models the entire academic pipeline—from initial assignment and expert consultation to committee discussion and final decision—allowing authors to predict how their work will be evaluated based on correctness, novelty, and overall field contribution in a double-blind setting.

This guide provides an in-depth framework for assessing the foundational significance of theoretical computer science results. It details the rigorous criteria used by top-tier conferences like FOCS (Foundations of Computer Science) to judge a paper's impact, focusing on its consequence, how it overcomes known obstacles, and its durability beyond best constants. It also maps various research types (e.g., cryptographic, algorithmic, learning theory) to the most suitable venue (e.g., FOCS, STOC, SODA, CCC).

A comprehensive guide detailing the end-to-end lifecycle of submitting and managing research for top-tier academic conferences, such as FOCS. It covers the live submission phase, post-acceptance planning, coordinating with sibling venues (like STOC), and backward scheduling for future attempts. Essential for researchers needing structured project management in computer science.

A guide for writing theoretical computer science papers, detailing how to structure proofs and correctly incorporate computational evidence. It emphasizes matching arguments (e.g., upper/lower bounds) to claim shapes and ensures that computation (like SMT verification or exhaustive checks) is rigorous, reproducible, and serves only to certify a step, not replace the main theorem.

A comprehensive guide on how to structure the 'Related Work' section for top-tier theoretical computer science conferences (like ICALP). It teaches authors how to prove their results are genuinely new and better by precisely comparing their bounds against the best known literature, correctly crediting prior venues (STOC, FOCS, etc.), and maintaining academic rigor under double-blind guidelines.

This guide details best practices for achieving reproducibility in highly theoretical computer science papers, such as those submitted to ICALP. Since artifact evaluation is absent, reproducibility hinges on the ability for any reader to independently verify every step of the proof. Key requirements include writing self-contained proofs, providing verifiable computational certificates, maintaining consistency between submissions, and optionally using formal verification tools like Coq or Lean.

A comprehensive guide detailing the high-stakes, single-round, correctness-centered peer review process for top-tier theoretical computer science conferences like ICALP. It outlines the unique two-track system (Track A and Track B), review criteria, and provides actionable advice on interpreting reviewer feedback and structuring submissions compared to other major venues.

This guide helps researchers determine if their theoretical computer science result is suitable for ICALP, the premier European conference. It details the crucial two-step decision process: first, selecting the correct venue (ICALP vs. STOC/FOCS/SODA/Journals), and second, classifying the work into the appropriate specialized track (Track A: Algorithms, or Track B: Logic, Automata, and Semantics).

A comprehensive guide for structuring high-level theoretical computer science papers for top-tier conferences like ICALP. It dictates how to present the model, state the theorem, demonstrate the improvement over prior bounds, and manage proof complexity within strict page limits, ensuring maximum clarity and verifiability for expert reviewers.

This guide outlines the standards for ensuring the verifiability and rigor of theoretical computer science papers, particularly for venues like ICDT. It mandates complete proofs, precise pinning of models and assumptions, explicit matching of upper and lower bounds, and strict internal consistency across all claims and full versions. Use this checklist before submission to elevate academic quality.
