Skill UI

This skill helps authors evaluate whether their research—particularly in algorithms, optimization, or machine learning for Operations Research (OR)—meets the high computational standards required by the INFORMS Journal on Computing (IJOC). It acts as a fit/venue-selection tool, guiding authors on methodological rigor, computational evidence, and structuring their submission to maximize acceptance chances.

This skill helps authors determine if their manuscript is suitable for the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis (SC). It provides comprehensive guidelines on framing the work, establishing the evidence bar (requiring scale, performance portability, and systems impact), and positioning the contribution for a top-tier HPC flagship venue. Use it for strategic venue selection and manuscript re-framing.

A comprehensive guide for authors positioning theoretical computing research in top-tier venues like ITCS. It emphasizes defining the 'delta'—the genuinely new contribution—by leading comparisons with what prior work *did not* ask. The guide also covers best practices for multi-area surveying, maintaining academic honesty, and correctly handling self-citations under double-blind review conditions.

This guide provides expert advice on positioning, framing, and validating medical imaging AI manuscripts for the MICCAI conference. It helps authors tailor their research to meet the venue's specific requirements, focusing on clinical-task grounding, robust validation, and alignment with core scopes like computational anatomy and image-guided intervention. Essential for optimizing conference submission strategy.

This guide outlines the rigorous process for estimating, validating, and interpreting structural models in Marketing Science manuscripts. It covers advanced econometric techniques (GMM, MLE, Bayesian), demonstrating empirical identification, assessing model fit (in-sample/out-of-sample), and computing robust counterfactuals. It ensures the final results are statistically sound, economically plausible, and prepared for replication.

Provides a comprehensive methodology for evaluating mobile computing systems. It mandates rigorous, real-device testing, focusing on instrumenting energy consumption, thermal behavior, latency distribution (tails), and memory limits. This guide ensures academic submissions are credible, repeatable, and compare performance against robust, tuned baselines.

Analyze PIV image pairs with OpenPIV: preprocessing, cross-correlation, vector validation, outlier replacement, and computing vorticity, strain rate, and turbulence statistics for fluid flow experiments.

This skill provides comprehensive guidance for positioning computer graphics, visualization, and geometric computing manuscripts for the Pacific Graphics conference. It covers conference fit evaluation, necessary framing adjustments, evidence bar construction, and strategic advice for maximizing submission success in the Asia-Pacific visual computing domain. Ideal for authors needing to refine their paper's focus for a selective CS venue.

This guide provides comprehensive standards for packaging ubiquitous computing sensing artifacts and datasets for academic publication. It covers best practices for ensuring reproducibility, emphasizing cross-subject evaluation (LOSO), necessary de-identification protocols for human-subjects data, and structuring the submission package for rigorous peer review.

A comprehensive guide for researchers positioning academic work within the pervasive and ubiquitous computing literature (e.g., PerCom, MobiCom). It teaches the critical 'delta-first' method, instructing authors to highlight their unique contribution and novelty contrast against the nearest prior work, rather than simply listing citations. Essential for proving field command and eligibility.

A comprehensive guide for researchers in Pervasive Computing on ensuring the verifiable and reproducible nature of sensing data-driven claims. It mandates strict documentation practices covering dataset availability statements, sensing provenance (devices, labeling, preprocessing), cross-subject evaluation (LOSO), and consistency between published results and source data, adhering to ethical guidelines.

This comprehensive guide helps researchers decide the optimal venue for their ubiquitous computing (Ubicomp) paper. It provides detailed criteria for distinguishing contributions—such as human-centricity, core insight, and system focus—and advises on routing between major conferences (PerCom, MobiCom, SenSys) and journals (UbiComp/IMWUT) based on contribution shape and publication model.
