This guide details the rigorous, multi-stage peer review process for Earth and Planetary Science Letters (EPSL). It covers everything from the initial subject-editor desk screening (evaluating significance and fit) to the specialized technical audits performed by expert referees in intersecting sub-fields. Use this to stress-test your manuscript pre-submission, anticipate potential weaknesses, and strategize responses to reviewers' critiques, significantly hardening your paper for high-impact academic publication.

This guide provides a structured strategy for authors responding to major academic revisions, particularly in environmental science. It teaches how to transform reviewer critiques—such as demands for QA/QC, mass balances, or new controls—into evidence-based responses. The key is to structure the letter, address every point concretely, and defend the scientific contribution while maintaining clarity and professionalism for the editor.

A comprehensive guide for authors responding to 'revise-and-resubmit' decisions, particularly for high-impact journals like ESR. It details the strategic process of addressing reviewer critiques, focusing on comparative design, measurement equivalence, and advanced modeling. Learn how to structure your rebuttal letter, concede points with evidence, or respectfully rebut claims without weakening your core contribution.

This comprehensive guide details the rigorous double-blind peer review process at the European Sociological Review (ESR). It helps authors anticipate reviewer critiques on comparative design, quantitative modeling, and theoretical contribution, ensuring the manuscript is structured for success before submission.

This guide outlines the advanced, disciplined strategies for managing author communication throughout the academic publishing lifecycle of a major conference paper (e.g., FOCS). It covers three critical phases: writing pre-emptive rebuttals before submission, handling limited official queries during review, and executing a disciplined resubmission protocol after rejection. Focuses on turning reviewer critiques into concrete textual improvements rather than defensive appeals.

This guide details the strategic process of writing a rebuttal for top-tier academic conferences (such as HRI). It provides a framework for triaging reviewer critiques, addressing methodological concerns (e.g., sample size, confounding), and making credible, actionable promises for the final camera-ready version, all while maintaining academic integrity and anonymity.

This guide provides a comprehensive framework for authors responding to reviewer critiques during a Revise and Resubmit cycle. It covers project management of complex revisions, strategic triage of feedback (Do, Decline, Cannot), structuring the point-by-point response letter, and maintaining a professional, collegial tone to maximize acceptance chances.

A comprehensive guide to understanding the peer review process for top-tier machine learning conferences like ICML. It helps authors and researchers diagnose potential decision issues, analyze reviewer critiques along dimensions (e.g., soundness, originality), and formulate strategic responses to maximize acceptance chances. Covers OpenReview features, AC meta-review synthesis, and ethical policy considerations.

A comprehensive guide for researchers submitting to the IMF Economic Review (IMFER). It teaches authors how to anticipate the toughest, predictable critiques from international macroeconomic and policy referees—such as cross-country bias, policy overreach, and identification weaknesses. By pre-empting these objections, authors can significantly strengthen their manuscript structure before formal submission.

This comprehensive guide provides a step-by-step checklist for authors transitioning from an anonymous conference submission to a final, polished, camera-ready manuscript. It covers de-anonymization (restoring author details), integrating meta-review critiques, ensuring compliance with major publishers (like IEEE eCF/PDF-eXpress), and preparing supporting public artifacts, making it essential for academic publication success.

A comprehensive guide for planning and drafting responses to major revisions (R&R) in Information Systems research. It teaches systematic prioritization, focusing first on the Senior Editor's concerns, addressing genre-specific reviewer critiques (e.g., proofs, identification, evaluation), and structuring the response using an electronic companion for maximum impact.

This guide simulates and advises on the complex, multi-stage process of academic peer review, modeled after rigorous conferences like ISSTA. It covers double-anonymous reviewing, the Accept/Major-Revision/Reject outcome model, and detailed evaluation criteria (e.g., Soundness, Verifiability). Use it to structure research arguments, anticipate reviewer critiques, and plan revisions through multiple submission deadlines.
