This guide provides a structured framework for revising a manuscript after a 'revise-and-resubmit' (R&R), particularly for multi-paradigm fields like communication studies. It focuses on strategic academic writing: mapping conflicting reviewer demands (e.g., post-positivist vs. critical), managing the strict page budget (e.g., 35-page limit), and structuring the response memo to the editor-in-chief. It emphasizes framing the response as a principled trade-off rather than simply adding content.

This guide details the rigorous, double-anonymous review process for top-tier academic journals, using the Journal of Communication (JoC) as a model. It outlines the two critical gates—editorial fit screening and external expert review—and provides actionable advice on anonymization, establishing general theoretical significance, and structuring the paper to maximize the chances of acceptance.

This guide provides a comprehensive, step-by-step walkthrough of the Journal of Econometrics (JoE) submission and review lifecycle. It covers the single-anonymized review structure, the crucial initial editor screening process, and details the three submission tracks (Regular, Annals, Themed). It also outlines the rigorous methodological criteria expected from modern econometric submissions, including the required elements for the initial editorial packet.

This comprehensive guide provides authors with a final preflight checklist for submitting manuscripts to high-stakes academic journals, such as the Journal of Econometrics (JoE). It meticulously covers technical formatting rules (e.g., source files, spacing, abstract length), journal-specific processes (e.g., single-anonymized review, fee payment), and navigating complex submission portals (Editorial Manager vs. Editorial Express). Use this tool as a final quality check before hitting 'submit' to ensure compliance and maximize acceptance chances.

This guide provides a structured framework for authors responding to Major Revision (R&R) decisions from high-tier academic journals like JOM. It emphasizes moving beyond simple point-by-point responses to prioritize the Department Editor's decisive concerns, resolving deep empirical method-check issues (e.g., endogeneity), and maintaining a clear, operations-focused narrative across multiple revision rounds.

This comprehensive guide details the formatting and structural requirements for submitting technical articles to the Journal on Communications (JOC). It covers every aspect, including the official writing order, structured abstracts (Purpose/Method/Result/Conclusion), mandatory classification codes, precise units and symbols, figure/table standards, and detailed referencing according to GB/T 7714. Use this guide to ensure your manuscript passes the initial editorial review process.

This comprehensive guide provides a strategic framework for authors responding to a Revise-and-Resubmit (R&R) decision from a top academic journal. It details how to structure the rebuttal letter to satisfy multiple reviewers without alienating the editor, while rigorously maintaining double-blind anonymity, adhering to page budgets, and preserving data replicability for expert analysis.

This guide provides a comprehensive roadmap for authors navigating the Journal of Software (JOS) peer review process. It details the entire state chain, from initial submission and expert review to final acceptance and revision rounds. It helps users understand the expected timeline, the roles of editors and reviewers, and the specific actionable steps required at every stage to ensure successful publication.

This comprehensive skill guides authors through the specific submission requirements and editorial culture of the Journal of Machine Learning Research (JMLR). It helps authors determine if their ML method, theory paper, or dataset is appropriate for JMLR's high standards—emphasizing rigor, complete proofs, open code, and lasting scientific contribution over novelty signaling. Use this when targeting JMLR or comparing it against other top-tier ML venues.

A comprehensive final check guide for authors submitting to the Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory (JPART). This checklist covers critical elements such as double-blind anonymization, strict word count adherence (including all components), OUP author-date styling, data availability, and required declarations, ensuring the manuscript is ready for Editorial Express.

Provides comprehensive guidelines for creating a fully reproducible replication package for submissions to the Journal of Political Economy (JPE). It details the required structure, components (README, master script, data), and best practices needed to pass the JPE Data Editor's reproducibility check, ensuring research claims are verifiable and transparent.

A comprehensive guide to the Journal of Public Policy & Marketing (JPP&M) review cycle. It details the structure of the desk-screening process, the influence of mixed reviewer pools (policy, law, marketing), and how to interpret editorial decision letters (e.g., major revision, desk reject). Use this resource to strategize your revision plan, preempt common rejection patterns, and effectively budget revision efforts.
