A comprehensive guide for authors responding to reviewer reports and editor decisions (major/minor revision, rejection). It details how to structure a point-by-point rebuttal letter, what new data (e.g., stability, benchmarking) must be added, and how to ensure the revised manuscript maintains a clear scientific advance while adhering to publication guidelines.

A comprehensive guide for academic researchers responding to R&R or conditional acceptance decisions for the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics (AEJ: Applied). This skill structures the response-to-referees letter and revision plan, emphasizing the triage of reviewer comments, adherence to editor priorities (especially concerning identification and robustness), and maintaining a professional, evidence-based tone. It helps authors transform critical feedback into a concrete, actionable revision strategy.

A comprehensive pre-submission strategy tool designed for authors submitting to top macroeconomics journals, such as AEJ: Macro. It helps authors anticipate and structure defenses against predictable, highly technical objections (e.g., identification flaws, robustness gaps, lack of breadth) raised by expert referees and co-editors. Use this guide to assess desk-reject risk, plan necessary robustness checks, and pre-emptively strengthen the manuscript before formal submission.

A comprehensive guide for academic researchers detailing how to structure and write a precise, point-by-point rebuttal letter following a major journal's Request for Revision (R&R). It covers addressing referee concerns regarding proof correctness, theoretical generality, and scope, ensuring the revision plan is rigorous and addresses the editor's central concerns.

A comprehensive guide for submitting high-quality replication packages for academic journals like the American Economic Journal (AEJ: Micro). This package covers two essential components: self-contained, verifiable proofs for theoretical claims (the Proof Appendix), and a fully reproducible code and data deposit (the Code/Data Repository). It ensures that all numerical results, simulations, and empirical findings can be regenerated by the journal's editor, maintaining the highest standards of scientific transparency.

A comprehensive guide for authors preparing a rebuttal and response letter after a major journal revision (e.g., R&R). It structures the response to referees and editors, emphasizing the policy contribution and addressing every comment point-by-point. The guide stresses the need for evidence-led arguments, strengthening the welfare/policy reading, and ensuring reproducibility standards are met to successfully resubmit high-stakes academic research.

This guide outlines the comprehensive package structure required for submitting manuscripts to American Economic Review: Insights (AER: Insights). It ensures authors meet the AEA Data and Code Availability Policy, providing all necessary code, raw data access, and documentation (including a master script and exhibit-to-code map) to allow the data editor to verify the reproducibility of every result before publication. It is crucial for passing the final publication gate.

Provides a comprehensive guide to the American Educational Research Journal (AERJ) manuscript review process. It details the stages, including fit framing, editorial screening, and double-anonymous peer review, helping authors understand how to structure their work to meet rigorous field-wide academic standards and maximize publication chances.

A comprehensive pre-submission checklist designed for authors aiming to submit original research papers to high-level academic journals, such as Acta Electronica Sinica (AES). This guide covers essential academic components, including proper abstract structuring, keyword adherence, specialized referencing formats (GB/T 7714), blind review compliance, ethical data handling, and formatting standards. It minimizes the risk of rejection during the initial editorial screening process.

Provides a comprehensive strategy and format for responding to major/minor revisions in academic publishing, especially in systems science and modeling. It guides authors on how to address reviewer comments, reconcile conflicting feedback, strengthen models, and write a professional cover letter to the editor while maintaining the integrity of the core scientific contribution.

A comprehensive final checklist guiding authors through the submission process for Agricultural Systems journals (AgSy) via Editorial Manager. It ensures compliance with detailed guidelines, covering abstract word limits, required declarations (CRediT, COI, Funding, AI), graphical abstract preparation, and data/code deposit. Use this guide as the last step before final submission to avoid common desk-rejection errors.

This guide details the multi-stage, rigorous review process for the American Journal of Political Science (AJPS). It covers the mechanics of double-blind screening, editorial fit assessment, expert peer review, and the unique, critical post-acceptance third-party verification step. It is designed to help authors anticipate and mitigate potential rejection issues by structuring and refining their manuscripts to meet top-tier academic standards.
