Provides a comprehensive methodology for evaluating mobile computing systems. It mandates rigorous, real-device testing, focusing on instrumenting energy consumption, thermal behavior, latency distribution (tails), and memory limits. This guide ensures academic submissions are credible, repeatable, and compare performance against robust, tuned baselines.

A comprehensive guide for researchers detailing how to establish rigorous provenance for on-device performance measurements (e.g., energy, latency, accuracy). It mandates recording all necessary context—including device model, SoC, OS build, framework versions, power instrument setups, and thermal conditions—to ensure results are verifiable and reproducible across different hardware or environments for academic publication.

A comprehensive guide for authors planning submissions to MobiSys. It details the two-round review process, the specialized pool of systems-and-services reviewers, and critical scoring dimensions such as on-device evidence, energy/latency rigor, and contribution mechanism. Use this to formulate a robust response strategy for every stage, from initial submission to camera-ready.

This guide provides rigorous structural and disciplinary rules for authors submitting mobile-systems research to highly competitive conferences like MobiSys. It emphasizes moving beyond mere superlatives, mandating that all claims must be substantiated by explicit measurements of latency, energy, memory, and thermal budgets on real devices. Learn how to structure the paper to survive deep technical and systems-level peer review.

This skill provides comprehensive guidance for authors targeting Nature Energy. It covers the journal's specific scope, requiring submissions to have broad significance across the entire energy value chain—from materials science to policy. It details the required methodological rigor, evidence standards, structure, and submission checklist necessary for high-impact energy research.

A comprehensive guide and checklist for authors targeting Physical Review Applied (PRApplied). This skill helps evaluate whether a manuscript successfully bridges fundamental physics principles (e.g., quantum, photonics, energy) with concrete technological applications, providing heuristics on scope, evidence standards, and house style for submission.

A comprehensive guide designed to help authors determine the scope fit, required methodology, and stylistic conventions for submitting manuscripts to Physical Review D (PRD). It covers high-energy physics, cosmology, gravitation, and particle astrophysics, ensuring the work is positioned correctly for an archival academic audience.

This skill is designed to help authors determine if their manuscript is appropriate for submission to Progress in Energy and Combustion Science. It provides a rigorous checklist for evaluating whether a work meets the journal's high bar for critical synthesis, comprehensiveness, and authority. It guides authors to reframe primary research into an integrative, agenda-setting review, covering scope, method rigor, and specific submission requirements.

This guide details the process of achieving ACM badges (Available, Functional, Reproduced) for academic artifacts at SenSys. It emphasizes creating a hardware-optional evaluation path, allowing reviewers to verify results and functionality without access to the original testbed. Key steps include implementing graded replay tiers, documenting data provenance (energy, traces), and performing smoke-runs.

This guide provides a comprehensive audit checklist for designing and evaluating sensor-based systems (SenSys). It mandates rigorous, real-world measurements across five core axes: energy efficiency, on-device latency distribution, ground truth accuracy, deployment realism, and embedded AI footprint. It ensures that research results are based on measured hardware performance, not simulations or idealized baselines.

This guide outlines essential strategies for ensuring that complex physical or scientific measurements are fully reproducible by external parties, long after the original testbed is decommissioned. It mandates capturing detailed provenance data, including energy measurement methods, hardware specifications, firmware toolchains, environmental conditions, and ground-truth protocols, thus transforming raw data into verifiable, sharable scientific artifacts.

This guide details the unique two-deadline review model of SenSys. It provides authors with a comprehensive roadmap for interpreting complex rejection outcomes, structuring substantive revisions, formulating effective responses to reviewers, and understanding critical systems review criteria, such as energy measurement and baseline fairness. Essential reading for systems researchers.
