This guide helps researchers determine the most appropriate academic venue for their responsible AI work. It provides detailed criteria and rigorous testing methods (like the Delete-the-equity test) to assess whether fairness, accountability, or transparency is a primary, core contribution, guiding authors away from merely 'bolted-on' ethical framing.

A comprehensive guide for revising academic papers submitted to FAccT (Fairness, Accountability, and Transparency). It instructs authors on how to frame socio-technical contributions to be legible to a mixed panel of computer scientists, lawyers, and social scientists. Focus areas include scoping claims to specific populations, explicitly arguing adverse impacts, and making interdisciplinary concepts native to the text.

This guide provides a rigorous framework for designing and auditing empirical studies in software engineering (SE). It emphasizes that evidence must proportionally match the claims made, covering topics like using real subject systems, establishing fair baselines, calculating SE-standard statistics (effect sizes, CIs), and ensuring thorough provenance, especially for LLM-based work. It helps researchers strengthen their research methodology before publication.

This comprehensive guide helps researchers determine if their work on biogeochemical cycles (e.g., carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur) meets the stringent standards for Global Biogeochemical Cycles (GBC). It emphasizes re-framing site-level measurements into quantitative, system-scale fluxes, budgets, and feedbacks, ensuring alignment with AGU's expectations for rigorous modeling and FAIR data practices.

A methodology guide for structuring high-stakes academic research experiments, particularly for top-tier CV conferences (like ICCV). It emphasizes systematic planning under strict deadlines, covering benchmark drift audits, ensuring fairness by accounting for pretraining confounds, structuring ablations to isolate mechanisms, and strategically sequencing runs to maximize impact before the submission deadline.

This guide provides comprehensive best practices for designing and auditing empirical experiments for top-tier ML conferences. It covers necessary ablations, robustness checks (e.g., data shift, seeds), fair baselines, and detailed compute reporting to ensure that reported gains are scientifically genuine, reproducible, and address common reviewer skepticism.

This guide provides a comprehensive framework for stress-testing Machine Learning experimental evidence before submission or rebuttal. It covers critical areas such as establishing strong baselines, conducting mechanism-isolating ablations, reporting variance, checking for data leakage, and disclosing compute costs. Use this to ensure your ML claims are scientifically sound, robust, and fair against rigorous academic scrutiny.

A comprehensive guide for designing and reporting rigorous experimental results in robotics research. It details the 'evidence ladder' (from simulation to real-world deployment), statistical best practices (e.g., sample size, confidence intervals), ensuring baseline fairness, and quantifying sim-to-real transfer gaps. Essential reading for researchers submitting to top-tier robotics conferences.

A comprehensive guide to designing rigorous, reproducible, and fair experimental protocols for computational science research, particularly for top-tier academic journals. It covers critical elements such as selecting standard benchmark instances, establishing strong baselines, ensuring fair parameter tuning, reporting hardware constraints, and performing robust statistical validation, helping researchers avoid common pitfalls and maximize the scientific validity of their claims.

Provides comprehensive guidelines for conducting rigorous networking evaluations, particularly for top-tier conferences. It mandates that every networking claim—be it optimality, performance improvement, or real-world behavior—must be matched with specific, verifiable evidence. This includes rigorous mathematical proof, seeded simulation results, or real-traffic testbed measurements. The guide emphasizes stating assumptions, using fair baselines, and ensuring statistical reproducibility across all studies.

A comprehensive guide for authors on drafting effective, double-blind rebuttals for top-tier academic conferences. Learn how to strategically address reviewer concerns regarding evidence realism, baseline fairness, energy accounting, and deployment honesty, using only existing data without making unsubstantiated promises.

A comprehensive guide for designing and auditing rigorous experiments for sensing systems and information processing claims. It emphasizes the necessity of measuring performance on real hardware (not simulation), accurately instrumenting ground truth, quantifying energy consumption, latency, and physical footprint, and establishing fair, skeptical baselines. This ensures scientific rigor and reproducibility in research submissions.
