This router guides authors through the entire lifecycle of a manuscript targeting the Journal of Econometrics (JoE). It diagnoses the current bottleneck—from initial idea generation and methodological positioning to data analysis, writing, and final submission/rebuttal—and recommends the precise specialized skill to invoke next, ensuring the work meets the high standards of econometric theory and evidence.

A comprehensive methodological guide for conducting rigorous statistical analysis in Operations Management (OM). It covers establishing measurement validity (CFA, reliability), selecting appropriate estimators (SEM, HLM, DiD, IV) for survey and archival data, and addressing critical issues like common-method bias and endogeneity. Essential for academic research reporting.

This guide helps researchers select and defend the appropriate empirical methodology for Operations Management (OM) studies. It covers diverse design types—including surveys, archival data analysis, behavioral experiments, field studies, and intervention-based research—ensuring the design is observation-grounded, matches the operational claim, and anticipates rigorous methodological checks.

This guide outlines the rigorous standards for data analysis, ensuring that published research is fully reproducible and statistically robust. It covers best practices for statistical modeling, reporting uncertainty (CIs, SEs), managing robustness checks, and structuring manuscripts to meet high academic journal requirements while maintaining full transparency and methodological integrity.

This tool helps authors assess if their research manuscript is suitable for the Journal of Business and Economic Statistics (JBES). It evaluates the fit across methodological rigor, economic relevance, time series analysis, and microeconometrics, providing a comprehensive self-check against the journal's high standards and suggesting alternative venues.

This skill guides authors on assessing the suitability of their consumer-psychology manuscripts for the Journal of Consumer Psychology (JCP). It evaluates the manuscript's alignment with JCP's rigorous academic standards, focusing on psychological theory contribution, process mechanisms, experimental design rigor, and house style requirements. It is essential for authors targeting JCP or needing to re-frame a paper for a top-tier consumer psychology venue.

This guide helps authors assess the suitability of their manuscript for the Journal of Economic Geography (JoEG). It is a comprehensive tool for interdisciplinary papers spanning spatial economics, regional development, and cluster analysis. It covers academic fit, methodological rigor (including spatial inference), structural requirements, and common rejection pitfalls, helping authors effectively re-frame their work for target academic venues.

A comprehensive guide for academic finance researchers to assess if their quantitative manuscript is suitable for submission to the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis (JFQA). It covers the journal's elite positioning, necessary methodological rigor (e.g., causal identification, standard errors), required structure, and common desk-reject pitfalls, helping authors refine their work for top-tier quantitative finance venues.

A comprehensive academic consulting tool designed for authors in management and organizational behavior. It helps researchers assess the suitability of their manuscript for the Journal of Management (JOM). The skill evaluates topic scope, theoretical contribution, methodological rigor (e.g., meta-analysis, SEM), and adherence to top academic publishing standards. It also provides advice on potential rejection risks and suggests alternative top-tier venues.

This skill provides detailed guidance on assessing a research paper's alignment with the scope of quantitative economics and technical economics journals. It helps determine if the core contribution lies in advanced quantitative methods, econometrics, efficiency measurements (TFP, DEA), or input-output analysis, guiding authors toward the most suitable academic publication venue.

A detailed guide for scholars submitting social history manuscripts to the Journal of Social History. It outlines the journal's specific scope—covering everyday life, class, gender, and marginalized experiences—and its high academic bar. It emphasizes the need for an original, argument-driven thesis with methodological self-consciousness, guiding authors on source analysis, historiographical positioning, and adherence to Chicago house style.

This guide helps structure the conceptual framework (Theory of Change or Logic Model) for policy research. It moves beyond simple correlation by explicitly mapping the causal chain: identifying the policy lever, the underlying mechanism, and the predicted outcome. It is crucial for establishing external validity and defining scope conditions so that empirical findings can be generalized and actionable by policymakers in different settings.
