This guide details the rigorous evaluation process used by Global Environmental Change (GEC) for manuscripts, including double-anonymized review, initial editorial screening for scope and social-science fit, and the role of interdisciplinary external reviewers. It provides critical insights into common rejection pitfalls and actionable advice on how to structure a paper to maximize its chances of acceptance in academic publishing.

A comprehensive guide for assessing mathematical manuscripts targeting top-tier journals in geometry and topology. It details the required scope, depth, and rigor across fields like low-dimensional topology, symplectic geometry, and geometric group theory, ensuring submissions meet the highest standards of proof and significance.

This skill guides authors to evaluate if their ecology or biology manuscript meets the rigorous standards of Global Change Biology. It focuses on the necessity of linking research findings to explicit global-change drivers (e.g., warming, elevated CO2) and providing robust biological evidence, from molecular mechanisms to ecosystem-scale consequences.

A comprehensive guide for authors targeting global ecology and biogeography journals. It assists in evaluating whether a manuscript addresses global or large-scale patterns of biodiversity, tests macroecological theory, and meets rigorous spatial-statistical standards. Covers scope, methodology, and submission best practices.

This comprehensive guide assists academic researchers in assessing the fit of their manuscripts for the journal Governance Studies. It outlines the journal's scope (national, local, digital governance, public policy), required theoretical depth, suitable methodologies (policy evaluation, case studies), and structural requirements. It serves as a crucial editorial checklist to prevent mis-submission and optimize the writing process for Chinese public administration and governance research.

A comprehensive guide for researchers preparing academic artifacts for voluntary, post-acceptance evaluation (e.g., HPCA). It outlines best practices for structuring submissions for cold-start evaluators, defining reproducibility tiers (full reproduction, regeneration from logs, inspection), and managing computational budgets to successfully earn IEEE reproducibility badges.

A comprehensive guide for auditing and improving the scientific rigor of hardware architectural evaluations (e.g., HPCA style). It emphasizes establishing a clear 'fidelity contract' defining tools, scope, and configurations. It requires that all performance claims are backed by credible instruments, mandates capturing full machine state provenance, ensuring honest baseline tuning, and reporting results via per-workload distributions rather than single means.

This comprehensive guide outlines the process for packaging artifacts from Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) research. Recognizing that HRI artifacts are complex, involving human subjects, robot behaviors, and extensive study materials, this skill provides guidelines for honest, ethical, and reproducible dissemination. It covers structuring de-identified data, analysis code, and behavioral specifications while adhering to participant consent and academic archiving standards.

This skill guides authors to determine if their manuscript is suitable for the interdisciplinary journal Human Relations. It evaluates the paper's theoretical depth, conceptual breadth across disciplines (e.g., OB, sociology, industrial relations), and methodological rigor. It helps authors evaluate the fit, framing, and potential rejection risks of their work against the journal's focus on the social science of work and organizations.

This detailed skill helps authors assess the suitability of their manuscript for top-tier Human Resource Management (HRM) journals. It provides a comprehensive framework for evaluating a paper's theoretical contribution, empirical rigor (e.g., handling common-method bias, multilevel designs), and credible implications for practice. It guides the necessary re-framing, structure, and necessary comparisons with alternative journals, ensuring authors meet the high academic bar set by the field.

A critical guide for authors submitting to ICALP (International Conference on Logic, Artificial Intelligence and Programming). It clarifies that ICALP is a pure theoretical venue where the core contribution is a mathematical theorem and its verifiable proof, not a functional code artifact. This document advises authors from systems or ML backgrounds on how to adjust their focus and what constitutes a valid contribution.

This guide details best practices for achieving reproducibility in highly theoretical computer science papers, such as those submitted to ICALP. Since artifact evaluation is absent, reproducibility hinges on the ability for any reader to independently verify every step of the proof. Key requirements include writing self-contained proofs, providing verifiable computational certificates, maintaining consistency between submissions, and optionally using formal verification tools like Coq or Lean.
